Thanks for the suggestions.
Removed the driver from device manager and uninstalled RM 2.1.41.
Rebooted.
Then before trying to install the update I checked to see if there was anything in the Windows folder with "Kemper" in the filename and found "KemperProfiler.sys". Checking the properties of this it was not the latest version (which I found in the thread linked in this thread)
I couldn't delete the file as it was owned by "TrustedInstaller" so thought that maybe the new driver could not install over this file
Googled how to remove files owned by TrustedInstaller, deleted KemperProfiler.sys and installed RM 2.1.74.
KemperProfiler.sys is now updated and RM is working.
Justed updated FW on the Kemper and all is good!!

Did you go into device manager to remove the driver?
I would unplug the Kemper from USB
Uninstall RM
Got to Device manager and remove the driver from Sound/video devices
Reboot the PC
Re-install RM
Likely that's what Kemper said to do, but if not...

I have done it this way, but the Kemper has to be attached.
If I unplug the Kemper then the driver info disappears from the Sound/video controllers page. It reappears if I reconnect so I removed the driver here.
I've had the problem from Rig Manager 2.1.61 and with Firmware 5.5.2 as well as with the beta and newer firmware.

Hmmm...
I'd open a ticket.
We were told that Win 7 would not support the new editor that's coming out, but were also told that the regular RM would still work.
I did.
After trying the suggestion (uninstall and reinstall the driver - which I tried without success) they had no further suggestions.

What OS are you guys on? I'm on latest Win 10 and all is working fine
Also on Win 7 Home Premium SP1.

So now the Rig Manager and Firmware are out of Beta thought I'd try again.
Downloaded Rig Manager 2.1.74 and installed.
Run Rig Manager without the Kemper turned on - runs fine.
Turn on the Kemper - sound to indicate PC has recognised the Kemper but does not connect to Rig Manager.
Close Rig Manager and then try to start it again and it doesn't launch.
Unplug the USB from the Kemper and I can now launch Rig Manager, but when I reconnect the USB it does not connect to Rig Manager.
I have the devices window open and I can see the Kemper is recognised.
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the driver.
Tried a few different USB cables.
Tried a few different USB ports.
I raised a support ticket with Kemper but after the one suggestion they tried didn't work they couldn't offer any further suggestions.
Anyone got anything they can suggest to try - other than buying a new PC!

Not solved for me...
Installed RM 2.1.61 on my Windows 8.1 laptop and connects fine to the KPA so doesn't seem to be a Kemper issue.
Still no joy with my Win 7 desktop though.

Gone back to FW 5.5.2 and RM 2.1.41 and all works fine.
Install RM 2.1.61 - installs fine but then...
If I run RM first it starts fine. Switching on the KPA I get the Windows hardware recognised sound but it does not connect to RM.
If I start the KPA first then launch RM then I get the circle cursor for about 1 second and then nothing, RM doesn't launch.
I've checked the driver is there through device manager and it's there.
I've tried a few suggestions from other threads (e.g. replaced one of the dll files from the driver with one from the 2.1.41 install) but no luck yet.

Same as plugging in at the computer end - Windows sound to indicate the Kemper has been connected to the computer but no connection to Rig Manager.

I've updated to the new 5.7 firmware and updated RM to 2.1.7 but it does not connect to the Kemper.
If I launch Rig Manager first, then switch on the Kemper then I hear the Windows sound as the Kemper is detected but there is no connection to Rig Manager.
If a connect the Kemper first then try to launch Rig Manager then nothing happens and RM doesn't launch.
I also had the same problem with Rig Manager 2.1.6 and Firmware 5.5 - exactly the same symptoms so I just uninstalled v2.1.6 and went back to v2.1.4 which works fine.
Acer PC running Windows 7 (with all updates installed).
Kemper powered toaster.
