I think the headphone out is not great, by any means. We tried cheap and expensive headphones...uninspiring, buzzy and fizzy ..Nothing at all like the studio ref monitors. I view it as a last resort for tracking in the dead of night. I think only in ear monitors (high quality) will give a similar vibe and inspiring tone. Just my opinion.
That's really great! Glad you like those!
Just got the update cameron profiles... Holy freakin cow!!!! Just running the powerhead thru a recto 4x12 (turning off cab sim of course),..Just crushing!!!!!!!!!!!! ..yet still organic and musical...the string separation and clarity while still staying sweet without the ice-pick...amazing..I've been playing for hours on like 2 presets...so inspiring. Can't wait to do some direct recording. Anyone even on the fence for any of these, just do it. You get soooooo much bang for your buck, and the sounds are top notch pro-level, just awesome!!!
No, it's not stupid, you're asking for an info.
But I think you already got the packs, right?
Yes.!!!!!!!!!!! Got the packs... They all sound really good...seriously...it's hard to find tones I don't like..
No need to thank me tbh
I'm the one who should always say thanks to you guys!
Tomorrow is official release of Hameron CV 100 pack btw!
Stupid question here...I just purchased 3 profile packs (CV, Diezel Herb, EVH 5153)..Will you be sending a confirmation code for download, or do you actually "ship" something..?
Don't forget COMMAND-I if the window you're dragging to doesn't border-highlight for some reason. In my experience, the functionality returns before long, but the keyboard-shortcut procedure is a great stand-in 'cause it's almost-as-quick.
That said, I'm on Mac, so for all I know you may never encounter this other than when you... ahem... try to drag non-compatible file formats to RM... ahem.
"Ahem" lol..yeah oops...There was something going on that was weird...I think it all got fixed after I uninstalled and re-installed etc... The "wrong file" thing happened after.... Thanks for the help!
Figured it out. I was trying to bring in rawr files instead of the wmpfiles....Kemper wasn't even recognizing the files...my bad...loading up at will now! WOOHOO!Thanks!
I tried to help but I give up. I'm just a member of a Forum trying to help a perfect stranger who talk to me like I am working for Kemper service
I REALLY appreciate the help from you and everyone on here..I just haven't had a chance to re-try all of these ideas..I will tonight. Everyone on here is very helpful....and I love my Kemper for sure. I will update after I have another run at it. Thanks again.
"Just have a folder with unzipped profiles on it ..."
That is what I meant to say....dragging the files out of the zipped folder and into another new folder, and then trying to either drag and drop into library or import.
Unzip any Rigs that you've compressed and place them in a new folder.
When the Import window appears, drag the folder to it and the Rigs should appear and be selectable for importing.
Thanks for the insight..I will try that. (Wish I was more technically savy ...)
Uninstall what you installed
Re-install 32 bits version
The problem is not the program
Oh I have no doubt that "user error" is a factor here...just trying to troubleshoot. I just re-did this...still no luck.
I'll say it simply. Stop dragging . Create a folder in your Rig Manager (something like ''Michael Britt'' )
And IMPORT your unzipped rigs there. Thats all
And again : stop dragging
I gave up on dragging and dropping..The import function isn't working properly. .....It will not allow me the option to import from my folders.... When I click on "import" It pulls up folder choices that I do not recognize...it will not recognize Zip file folders for some reason, even after I create a new folder and copy all of the rigs into that folder... I am going to try the thumbdrive approach (Loading onto a thumbdrive and then installing directly form there..) .
Quite often I can't drag to RM either.
I simply hit COMMAND-I (import ~ much quicker than using the File menu) and do it that way, then before long, I can drag again.
Seems to come and go. Doesn't bother me in the least thanks to the keyboard shortcut.
You could try opening a new RM window and closing the current one. That seems to help clear things out / reset things from time to time.
Thanks! I will try.
When you download Rig Manager for Windows, the zip-files includes two versions: one for 32bit Windows and another for 64bit Windows. If your PC is running 64bit Windows, please use the corresponding installer.
I am having the same issue... Cannot load any new profiles onto my toaster...WTH!?!?!? I even unistalled, did an updatem, etc... says installation was successful, but I still cannot load up any new profiles. So frustrating..
You cannot import Rigs in zipped format. You need to unzip first.
You are referring to "Profiles". You can only import complete Rigs via Rig Manager. If these files are cabinet presets or stack presets these can only be imported via USB memory stick.
That is what I do (By dragging out and onto the desktop, then put into a new folder) this is "unzipping"...It worked for the rigs I have in there now, but I cannot add. I will try the thumbdrive approach (thanks!).. Although I also just noticed that I cannot choose where I want new downladable rigs to go (in other words, I no longer have the option to choose "Desktop" or "PC drive" (I have gigs and gigs of space avaialble).. So something is going on... I also saw some other recent posts of rig manager having issues..so I'm wondering if I'm experiencing this.. Again, I cannot add anythign to my Kemper at the moment unless it's already in the library... ugggg
Are you dragging a zip-file from the desktop into MyProfiler?
First I have to drag the files onto my desktop/into another new file first, then I usually just click on the profile(s) and drag them over. The import function doesn't seem to work.
No error, but the little circle with the line through it. Let's say I download some custom profiles.. (Zip files/folder). When I go to drag and drop, it just doesn't let me... I seem to recall doing this, since this is how I loaded up my Michael Brit, Loomis, AMp Factory profiles... I only have 316 rigs....
Dropping profiles (adding them) to my profiler. I don't know what happened, but I cannot drag and drop new profiles into my library . So weird.. I can't add anything to my own "rigs" unless it's already in my library, BUT, I can't add to my library..WTH? I reinstalled rig manager, have plenty on my PC and in the Kemper...
Well, almost any chorus is gonna sound duller in most through-amp-and-cab situations 'cause of the bandwidth-limiting of guitar speakers, V8.
I'd assume the qualitative judgements the OP made were post-stack; if not he'd hardly be in a position to speak of a lack of "lushness", sparkle and EQ presence.
If for some reason you inadvertently used one of the first 4 slots, steinweiner, for the love of God man, place it post-stack!
It's post stack (whew!)
You are probably doing this already but it might be worth mentioning just in case.
Make sure the monitor out is actually set to Master Mono. If it is set to Master Stereo then any stereo effects such as chorus won’t get their full effect.
I will check this, thanks!
The chorus effects on the Kemper are IMHO more analogue-like than on most other digital units; this tends to make them duller-sounding.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if "more-lush-sounding" options appear as a result of the effects "overhaul" that'll likely see new / improved overdrive / distortion / fuzz stomps added as well.
It's anyone's guess as to whether or not this updated-FX set will be included in the forthcoming 'verb-and-functionality update. If it's not, it'll come to pass at some point after that.
That's why I like them. Just a matter of taste and to make everybody happy there should be both analogish and digitalish choruses.
Agreed as far as analog sounding "warmer" than digital... I've been doing some tweeking... I'm gettin there...
