Pat Metheny & Meshell Ndegeocello's Group - Montreal Jazz Festival 2005
In 2005 Meshell Ndegeocello's Group invited Pat Metheny to play on two tunes. The result is surprising. Enjoy!!

Geht auch ohne das Rig extra zu exportieren
Am Rack und am Toaster kannst du ein rig einfach mit den copy und paste Tasten in eine neue Performance einfügen.
Beim Stage geht das so:
Press LONG the Rig button, a copy option appears.
Press copy.
Go to the new slot.
Press LONG the Rig button, a copy/paste option appears.
Press paste.
Save the performance.
manual p.172:
With “Power Sagging” set to 0%, the original dynamic range of the PROFILE is maintained.
When you turn “Power Sagging” beyond 50%, you go beyond what can be achieved with an analog tube amp.
Könnte ein Wackelkontakt im Kabel des Pedals oder im Pedal selbst sein.
Albiful why not? as long as you don´t use any modulation, reverb or compressor it should profile just fine.
Yes, but am looking for acoustic ir, not preamp/channel strips
Dexter and Aura pedals are not only preamps. They are kind of modeling an acoustic signal response from your piezo input to create a more natural sound.
have you checked rm for tone dexter profiles?
aura and fishman will give you some options too.
cant you just back it down 3 db to compensate?
the thing is: if for example you you make a high pass at 80hz, you are also boosting around 80hz +3db
I hope you will find this little video interesting. It shows that High Pass filtering can increase peak levels and reduce sound quality, even if the filter is set below all fundamental freqs of the sound itself.
It comes from Paul Frindle, a guy with 40 years of experience in the pro audio and music industries. He has been part of the development of the SSL E and G-series analog consoles, the Sony Oxford digital mixing console, and many other things.
Can I run a 6ohm power amp into the 4ohm Kemper Cab?
No, you shouldn´t do that!
Using a lower impedance speaker than recommended by the amplifier can lead to increased current draw and overheating, potentially damaging the amplifier. It may also result in distortion, reduced audio quality, and possible shutdown or protection mode activation in the amplifier.
clean smooth tone with an amazing neverending sustain
Clean? The effect is called „Fuzz“
as stated in post#2, room acoustics are a important factor, and the better the mic, the more you´ll notice that.
that´s less important with a ribbon mic like the m160, but you need very good preamps with ribbons (low output)
i also recommend trying to make a stereo recording with the AT4041 AND the Neumann (or whatever mics you want to try).
Acoustic Guitars are so much nicer in Stereo. Don´t go for a "perfect" stereo setup, just point them to where it sounds good.
I've read about 'constant latency' somewhere in the manual, but it sounded like it would only be recommended for scenarios in which the Kemper is connected to another Kemper and their signals are gonna be mixed? Sounds like a good hint, though!
no, that´s not what i meant. if your daw can´t adjust the the latency, you´d have to measure the roundtrip latency (daw-into kamper- back into daw) and that depends on how you connect the kemper (spdif(analog/usb) .
For normal playing the latency depends on how much fx you use in the kemper, (to minimize latency ).
fot reamping, with constant latency enabled, you get excatly that, always the same latency
in Pro Tools you can put in a value for latency caused by external gear used as an insert, and than the compensation works (hardware insert delay)
Maybe the RME driver has a similar setting?
The thing is, however, the phase difference isn't always the same, depending on the Kemper-sound used, as far as I am concerned. Sometimes it is more, sometimes less.
that´s what "constant latency" in the profiler settings is for.
I´m using browser mode
try PERFORMANCE mode, as it loads 5 rigs at once. And don´t have RM connected.
main manual 10.1
pages 323-325
I get very good results with Soundtoys Echoboy.
Make sure to read the manual about the "tweak" settings.
and then goes into mute with the tuner showing
in tuner mode, Deactivate the “Tuner@Volume 0” option if you don’t want the Tuner to be activated automatically by the Volume Pedal in heel position.
for the other problem, check your pedal assignments, and please read the chapter
Expression Pedals and Foot Switches p.151 in the manual
The older software versions don't appear to be on the Kemper website.
Does anyone know how to revert to previous versions
download Rm and OS from the link above.
than follow the instructions from the MANUAL:
"By the way, if you create a backup before you upgrade, you can always downgrade to our latest release version, restore your backup, and be on safe ground for your next job. This way, you can completely avoid occasional downward compatibility issues that can affect data stored under a new operating system. Downgrades via USB memory stick follow the same procedure as upgrades. Rig Manager includes a function to revert the PROFILER OS to the previous release revision."
