I can confirm the pops and clicks when changing profiles in Rig Manager. Everything else seems fine to me though...

You better have one helluva internet connection to send a terrabyte of data...

Just resurrected this thread to say that I love Matt's Acey30 profiles. They are killer. These are everything I ever wanted from an overdriven amp with a touch of sparkle sheen on top. I bought the pack last month and have not stopped playing them. Particularly the Acey30 AL and Acey30+ AL profiles. Those two are my go to for playing so far out of this pack and they are so much fun. I play my 335 through them and it's killer. There's a treble booster already set up in the profiles so all you have to do is add it and away you go. If you are looking for a queen style sound, this is it. Thanks to Matt for creating a little bit of heaven for my Kemper. Good job!

I guess he just fears profilers taking business away, especially at the prices he charges for something that you can get for 1.5 less in a Kemper. It's not a healthy view of the ever changing landscape of technology to be so static and resistant in my humble opinion. Why isn't he looking at profiling his own amps? Or why doesn't he call CK up and see if he can build in a profler into a Friedman power amp combo with Friedman profiles? Think of the business opportunities he could open up and expand into.

I think this is because the UI is not given priority in the system so there will always be a visual lag. Same with the display when you change patches. The patch itself will change immediately but the visual cue on the display will lag behind because it's not essential. That's my perception of the quirky tap tempo light. I could be wrong though and it could be a bug...

Instead of seeing the effects chain as " A=>B=>C=>D=>Amp=>EQ=>Cab=>X=>Mod=>Delay=>Reverb"", you would be better off viewing it as...
"Mono=>mono=>mono=>mono=>Amp=>EQ=>Cab=>Stereo=>Stereo=>Stereo=>Stereo"
Any effect can be put in any module but the first four are always mono while the last four are stereo so depending on where you put effects or loops or whatever, this main difference will always be static so long as this is the effects chain paradigm that Kemper keeps.
This may be open to change if Kemper chooses in the future though... -
Just wait until the new Ionosphere and Formant reverbs are released with OS 6. Then we will be in Big Sky territory handing over the eviction notice..?
-
Go into the Rig menu and mess around with the DLY+REV Routing. It does have a major effect on how well your dry signal interacts with the reverbs...
Here's Kemper's diagrams of what that setting does... -
You could enjoy the tone of the Friendman pushed through a load box. Still the Kemper can't be beat for absolute convenience..
-
The legacy reverbs are all under the "Legacy Reverb" reverb. Once you select it, you can choose which legacy reverb you want via the "Room Size" option. You will find Hall, Large Room, Small Room, Ambience and Matchbox.
-
That feature is due in OS version 6.
-
Did you try the "Revert Profile OS to release version" option in the Tools menu of Rig Manager? It might force a reinstall of the OS.

If you purchase that converter then you can still use your focusrite. Everything will remain in the digital domain.

You could invest in a converter...

If you go into the interface via analog then you are at the mercy of the in built converters sadly.
-
Your only option is to use the line outs of the Kemper into the line ins on your interface. The SPDIF on the Kemper is for RCA type jacks.
-
Also remember that no technology exists that can eliminate latency. A signal path will always result in analog to digital conversion, processing and then back again if you do not use SPDIF. What helps to keep latency low on the Kemper is that latency isn't constant and does change based on how taxing the processing on the CPU. That's why there's a "constant latency" mode in the output section so that if you do reamp, it ensures the latency is kept at a particular constant setting. I don't notice any latency and I am going into a line 6 interface via SPDIF. It really does come down to personal preference. I hope you find a device that will eliminate your issue.

Sounds like the placebo effect to me...

So why to bother to emulate KPA without two of the most important features. Don't get it
Because it's a brilliant marketing tool to get people's interests and hopes up for a cheaper alternative to the real thing. Hence why they blatantly and cheekily created a graphic that mirrors the profiler...
