Must be because it has only two ins and outs. Here's a video that shows you how to set up the interface with Abelton. Once the inputs 1+2 are assigned as inputs in Abelton then you should be able to record the Kemper. The outputs must be also selected for Abelton so that anything passing through the master out channels on Abelton are passed directly to the 2i2 outputs. The headphone will also receive this signal too. That should get you set up to hear the Kemper and any other audio file you have playing in your DAW.

You have to use the focusrite routing software to assign the master output of ableton to the headphone out of the 2i2.

Use main stereo outputs of Kemper into the inputs on the front of 2i2. Make sure you select line for each input. In Ableton, you have to select both inputs of the 2i2 as your source and enable live monitoring of the incoming signal. Then monitor the Kemper+PC via headphone output from the 2i2.

These profiles work extremely well with my 335. I am addicted to this amp. So responsive and the breakup is sweet. Thanks for these profiles. They are providing many hours of good playing.

I just checked the specs of the 2i2 and it doesn't have a S/PDIF so you are stuck with the analog inputs. If you were able to use S/PDIF you would have been able to keep the signal all digital then there's no degradation of sound quality. The headphone amp in the Kemper is top class and might give you a better impression of the profiler than the 2i2 pre-amps do. Maybe a new interface with S/PDIF might solve your issue?

Very informative videos Frank. I look forward to more of them!

You are probably right Monkey_Man. I was basing my assertion on a first gen Variax I owned years ago. If they are better than the simulation in the video then they have really improved a lot.
-
This is pretty convincing. This is an improvement over Variax I think.

Welcome to Club Kemper, Marc.

"I generally use humbuckers"
You are falling at the very beginning. You would need single coils to maintain the jangly sparkling cleans that are found on Fender amps. The Kemper is only giving you what you put into it based on the amp profiled. -
I'd say a lot of the analog thickness of the CE-1 comes not from the chorus itself but the input pre-amp. Maybe it is this pre-amp that helps to fatten up the chorus?

The Professional setting is for AES/EBU equipment. It has a higher voltage for this reason. S/PDIF is the consumer version of AES/EBU and has a lower voltage. I would use the lower setting.

I would imagine an AC15 would give up the ghost on the cleans pretty quickly at any significant volume level. I wonder if you tried a AC30 or even higher in order to raise the clean ceiling so that it won't colour the sound too much then might that work better? Imagine how the Kemper would sound through, say, a Roland JC120. Now that's a clean amp that might not add any colour but would be super loud at any setting.

Have you tried putting the kaos.bin in the root directory?
"Expand the downloaded .zip archive and search for the update file called “kaos.bin” inside. Copy the file into the root directory on the pre-formatted USB stick using your Mac or PC. The root directory is the first, or top-most, directory in the hierarchy." -

I was using Google Chrome and then cleared out my cache and history and no joy. I tried Pale Moon browser and I got the same result. Very strange.

it is in the Utilities category where it always was.
This is what I get when I open your link...
No Cab Maker. -
Speaking of Celestion IRs. Where has Cabinet Maker gone from the downloads page of the website? Has it been taken down?
