And with a name like Rastaman, it’s a definite possibility...
Is it plugged in?
Is your guitar plugged in?
What is the input set to?
What is the output set to?
Where are your volumes set?
What are you plugged in to on the Outputs?
Keep in mind the Kemper amp is MONO only...
If you like stereo (I do :)), it’s not the best option.
The Camplifier offers stereo, as do powered speakers.
Used to run 2 x DXR10's. Changed to 2 x HeadRush 1x12 FrFr speakers, and IMO they sound as good as (if not better) the DXR10's. Also half the price....!
Cool, but be aware that the Headrush are re-branded Alto’s, and their return rate for failures is much higher than Yamaha. Yamaha cost more for a reason. The Altos are very good for the money though.
Many here like the Yamaha DXR-10’s... a lot.
I run a stereo pair... I don’t miss my Marshall 4x12 cabinet at all....
I’m assuming yours, in the pictures above is nylon?
Cool - I just ordered the black vinyl (lined) version...
I let him know how I heard about it, although not sure they’ll know who “PB26 on the Kemper Forums” is...
I like vendors that take PayPal, so I don’t have to provide credit card info...
I did that but didn’t scroll down far enough (on my iPad) to see the results.
Thank you - I appreciate it!
I have two DXR-10’s for stereo, and I love them.... That said, I never tried Xitone’s or other similar setups.
Curious about Kempers’s upcoming Kemper Kabs.
Sin ce u pdat in g my sp ace ke y st art ed mes s i ng up......
(No, I just posted that because I want to follow this thread... I’m running it, and noticed no ‘bug/defects’.)
I realize this might be taken the wrong way, and it’s not my intent, but...
An awful lot of this is the result of technique, and how the hands/fingers/pick are used.
Proof of this is when George Lynch played through my rig, and sounded exactly the same as he always does.
Unfortunately, when I played through his, I still sounded like me... only louder.
My friend has just bought a toaster and bought a flight case for it to protect it...
No idea why he bought that and not the rack version BUT it adds very little size to the toaster and gives it full protection, meaning you could then put it anywhere with a bit more confidence..
Let me know if of interest and I can get the details...
I thought about standing the Yamaha on its end and putting the Kemper on top, but the cab is too small to be stable in that configuration.
Which is why you need TWO DXR10’s!
No, the two are best spread a few feet apart, so it doesn’t really help... and I’ve yet to see a great option as far as stands go.
I went unpowered,as he powered option is a mono amp, as you correctly state above.
I like stereo... (2 DXR-10’s works for me)
And Camplifiers are hard to get in the US...
I’m using a non-powered Kemper through two DXR-10’s in stereo...
I’m really curious to find out if this new Kabinet (and imprints) is going to make me want to change that. (Other than the little green cabinets look neat!)
Guitarists have so many great options these days...
“Someone” on this forum wrote earlier, that they ‘knew’ there would absolutely never be a Kemper 2.
But when I asked for their source, they never responded... I don’t think any of us know what the future is in regards to Kemper hardware.
Kemper said so.
Oh, I must have missed that post... or public statement, or wherever he said there would be no “Kemper 2”.
Sorry, maybe you could direct me there, just out of curiousity?
I know nothing, but *suspect* a new Kemper 2 will be released in the next year, with a better display, and possibly dual/parallel rig chaining.
Just a hunch.... whenever I buy something, it becomes outdated within the year.
