Very cool. Looking forward to hearing it.

A few more infos about the "custom" amp?
From the picture it looks... maybe like a (low watt) plexi style amp?!
Definitely looks like a Marshall style amp.
-
By the way never found that Dan Gower that you mentioned tryhardhack . By the way I hope you are able to get closer to the original Vai profile. What an amazing sounding amp.
-
Guidorist I have never heard of these amps. Marshall type? Plexi?

hafi19 I have checked out all the Jose rigs on RE, I think there is even a JCM800 modded one on there. There is also a Dan Gower modded rig on the RE (which are similar to Jose Mods I believe) but none of them sound like the video I posted. It's like all the rigs out there, everyones versions are different, or else we wouldn't need a 1000 versions of a JCM800, or a BE100. I have found with my rig (at least) and with the tones I'm after, that 90% out there don't sound very good. Thanks for chiming in though, thats whats great about this place everyone is trying to help each other in our mad pursuit of chasing the tones in our heads.
Btw has anyone besides rik777 tried it? Tonight I hooked everything back up and I think for the particular rig I posted, pure cab "on" sounds closer to the vid . It feels like it loses some mids and girth with it off. I'll have to play around with the EQ's again and see if I can get closer.
I totally agree with you about the 90% Jose rigs in RE. Girth is what I think is missing in your profile. I didn't touch the pure cab on mine.

Would like to hear what others think.

tryhardhack it's more of the depth in the tone in the actual profile. I can't quite describe what I'm hearing or not hearing. Maybe it's a warmth thing rather than depth? I appreciate you sharing and doing the work. It is close i think.
-
Hey tryhardhack your test profile at 25:43 comparison. Yours is close. I think the profile is missing depth, hard to describe. But all in all it's a great attempt! I'm using the 2 Alto TS210 to try it out.

tryhardhack Thanks for this. I've been hoping there would be some kind of profile of this amp or close to it. I think the tone especially at the beginning of the video, is amazing. I use 2 Alto TS210 so it should be good.

I have tried to reduce definition but they still sound...weird. In a mix they sound cool sometimes though.
For anyone interested, here is a vid I made with the Katzbach Jcm 900. Really love this tone (and sorry for the playing lol)

Can anyone shed insight on MBritt's dumble profile pack compared to the free profile on rig exchange? I quite like the free profile for hard rock stuff, just wondering if paying for the pack is worth the difference? Keep in mind I bought MBritt's 2020 pack and love it, so I am not trying to discredit him in any way. Just specifically wondering about this pack.
The Mbritt Dumble profiles are probably the best Dumble profiles out there. All the right qualities. lonestargtr really captured the magic with these profiles.

I'm super interested in the Modded Marshall packs. Are the profiles in these Studio, Merged, or both?
I checked the website and there isn't any info about what kind of profiles are in the different profile packs, just how many profiles and info about the amps.
Any info would be appreciated
Yes SliderJeff is correct. Go back to Pete's website and click on the profiles. It tells you what kind of profiles they are. I think he also has a FAQ page that tells you about how he profiles. okstrat am I correct?

Oh man! I've probably said it before but I MUST say it again! The JerEvil QR profiles are SPECTACULAR! All the qualities of the Splawn amp, dynamic, clean up with volume changes, just great profiles! Thank you to whoever made these.

CAMERON ATOMICA by Chris O...WOW! Such a great hot rodded Marshall tone. This guy knows how to profile.
-
Which profiles?
-
Marshall Plexi 1959 and Marshall JMP '76 by RickyStorti . True Marshall sound for free in the RE.
-
You are a star lonestargtr! Good things happen to good people!

Any of the "PT Cameron JoseHG 0X" where "X" is 1-9 are really good. It's the Model: Cameron Jose mod amp (Manufacturer: Marshall JMP). I'm not at home to spin through each one to give you a specific one that floats my boat... but all the "HG" (high gain) ones blew up my skirt in different ways, for the most part.
Hahaha alright SliderJeff ! Careful with that skirt! Pete's profiles are fantastic. Check out his Voodoo Marshall and Helios they're damn good.
