Interesting. Thanks for the reply.
Has anyone tried the Lenz profiles? Clips sound really good.
Michael, loving the new pack especially the SL68.
one question, I notice on these new profiles that my P90 equipped guitars are really quiet even on higher gain settings. Are you doing something different in your profiling process that would account for this? I would love to get the same level of noise on my older profiles. Just curious.
Thanks
Sean
Joptunes! You have some nice profiles on RE. Thanks.
And yes, those SL68 profiles are fantastic.
that is true... profiles of that amp is in the Vintage Pack. I believe there are 4 profiles of that amp in the pack.
As far as the Suhr SL68... I'll take that into consideration. It is kind of a one-trick pony as I couldn't get a lot of variation in the profiles so that's why there are only a handful in the new pack. I may do more profiles with some other cabs too, if I can gain access to that amp again.
lonestargtr YES!!! Hope you can make some other profiles of that SL68. Maybe also as a tribute to EVH? I know that amp can really get those early EVH tones.
Thanks Michael!
Agree, would vote even for SL68 dedicated single pack to go with the good old Plexi -69 pack.
Maybe expand the profiles with different speaker options (btw. those Blackback 25s sounded really sweet as well with 77 Mars so why wouldn't they with the Suhr!) and the Variac options. Pete Thorn seems to pull some of his favorite rock and VH tones from one (apart signature stuff naturally) so probably it'd be fine for me as well.
Great idea! I totally agree! lonestargtr a dedicated SL68 pack is a great request!
Man, I’m gonna need to check this one out!!
They're nice! Great tones.
Best pack in quite some time, for my taste. The 77 Marshalls, Suhr SL68, AC15 and some more are killer!!
Love the SL68 and Comet!
So far the suhr sl68, Comet and 50 caliber profiles are fantastic!
Martin Suijs 71 Marshall profiles sound great!
Hello I have had the KPA for a while now and have accumulated something like 500 profiles haha and even tho I know how to back up the profiler on a thumb drive, my question is while the Kemper is plugged in to my comp I want to remove all my profiles on my KPA and put them on my computer so I can then cherry pick and put only the most needed ones back on so I can keep it organized. Also it will keep all the others safe incase I need a full restore, and I think it will help with boot up time if I only had say 20 profiles on there which would be a big help!!!
Is there a way to do this?
or do I put it all on a thumb drive, then put it in my comp and copy everything over and after just delete the things I don't want on the Kemper itself??? I was hoping having it plugged in would be faster
thank you so much
cheers!!
Kris
Will boot up be faster with less profiles inside the Kemper?
What do they sound like?
Thank you!
Actually found the mbritt video on YouTube where he explains this. He uses either the amp/cab volume which act the same to either turn up/down his profiles. Going to give this a try tonight.
sdeyoung could you share that mbritt link where he explains this please?
Awe man thank you for confirmation...
You're welcome!
They sound amazing. If you're into heavy tight tones this pack is amazing. Also has some cool clean tones. BigHairyProfiles make some of the best profiles hands down.
The Mbritt profiles are simply amazing. I play music for a living. I agree with dynochrome in that the mbritt profiles sound best at louder volumes. That is a fact in my opinion.
I had one sound guy refuse to take a direct feed and insisted on using a mic. When I turned up without a speaker for on stage and just asked to go direct with a little guitar in the monitors he tried to make me use a Line6 Spider combo so that he cold mic it because it “always sounds better” ?♂️ I eventually went out to the car and brought in a Mesa EVM12L cab which he miced with an E609. Thankfully I had a powered head and had already prepared for this worst case scenario but the usual happened during band changeover and his mic got misplaced. I had to reposition the mic myself or the audience would have heard no guitar. Wouldn’t have been a problem if he had just accepted a direct XLR feed but you can’t argue with so e folks.
A Line 6 Spider!!?? Wow! Man, some sound men could be so difficult and they think they know it all.
Every sound man I've worked with always mentions that the signal is very hot. I've got the main output down to - 30dbs. And sometimes they're not easy to deal with when you're trying to tell them to keep my signal direct without any preamps or other.
Sounds good Neddi Stanz good job on the profiles.
