rik777 Crimson Ghost This is the first I've heard of Big Hairy Profiles. What's the #1 pack to check out?
The Sold 88, Trix, CustE+ profiles are fantastic! https://bighairyprofiles.com/

Looks and sounds amazing. Great concept and design. Problem for me is the price...$3099. I read that somewhere. I mean Suhr makes great stuff. I own a PT100se. But the price is pretty high.

I too would love a good helios eclipse profile. Rig exchange has some but don't sound good.

For better or worse, the simple description I posted here is really all I did. Since it was about 7 years ago and I no longer own any amps (only the Kemper), I can't really reproduce it. Very simple setup, really. I used a Sennheiser e906 on the middle switch position, close mic'd.
Amazing profile rmpacheco ! Love the tone and feel. Just a beautiful profile. Thanks!

I don't usually post a "heads up" for something new on Rig Exchange, but I just fell in love with AndrewC's Tupelo Lead + rig. It hits me just right for that overdriven hairy tweed tone. I know these amps use 6v6's, but I swear it holds up to bigger amps in tone. I think you could probably use it for Little Wing with a Univibe added. Or maybe it's just me, and my ears have gotten old
Will check that out. Thanks for the heads up Zappledan . Check out his Mesa TA-30 profiles. They sound really nice. Specifically the tweeds.

The bug was fixed in Beta 5.7.4.14373, and a stereo FX loop bug is fixed in the newest Beta.
Okay thanks. I'll wait for the release on that. Thank you.
-
Look at the release notes for 5.7.4.14373 Public Beta - a fix is indicated.
I just had the same high pitched squeal occur with LiamThompson profile. I'm still with release 57214219.

Speaking of Mesa. Check out the TA-30 profiles by AndrewC on the Rig Exchange.
They sound fantastic!Bysen you are correct! These AndrewC Mesa Transatlantic profiles are very nice.

I need a quick clarification between Main Output and Monitor Output.
I just got the Tech21 Power Engine Deuce Deluxe and it sounds AWESOME. I connect the Kemper's Main Output into the Deuce Deluxe's Input. On the Kemper, it sounds way better with Cab Sim on, I tried with Cab sim off and it was thin and sterile, so I want to keep Cab Sim on.
I will be playing at a gig soon where I want to use both Main Outputs to send stereo signal to FOH. But I will also have my Deuce Deluxe on stage blasting away as well.
Q: Since both Main Outs will be taken, can I use the Monitor Out with Cab Sim ON and it be the same sound as Main Out?
Thank you for your time!
Have you compared the Tech21 to any other FRFR cab? Curious to hear about the Tech21.

All hail The BM breu profiles!!!! They are simply SUUPERB! WOW! And I've only tried the clean channel profiles! Bert, you have outdone yourself on these. I can't believe how warm and true they FEEL and SOUND. Kemperland, listen up, do yourself a favor and check these profiles out. So happy I purchased these.

Hey all, there is a new beta release addressing older profiles and reverb mix. Looks like this was an issue and the top blokes at Kemper have already fixed it. We are blessed, in the software world things like this could take years to be addressed. Thanks Kemper!
Would it be better to wait for the official release to download?
-
the legacy reverb bundles all the previous reverb types to one effect type and automatically converts the old settings. The bug that the mix and rev/delay balance was off for rigs that were stored in a version older than 5.0 is fixed in the next update. If you store those rigs in 5.5.2 the reverbs should sound the same.
That's correct. My reverbs in 5.5.2 were fine until I updated to the new OS.
-
I own the Kemper since 2012 and therefore own a lot of "old" profiles too. If I preload those old profiles via RigManager and part of the profile is reverb then the reverb mix seems to be always o
I have the same issue or similar. After the newest update, most of my rigs have the Legacy reverb at a very high mix rate, all with the Legacy reverb attached. I know for a fact that all of these rigs did not have the Legacy reverb before the update. Seems like this is an issue as well? Anyone else with this issue?
-
When you use type knob( it is reverb type not preset) it is called Natural Reverb.
Okay. I will look for it. Thanks.

Every Kemper update comes with instructions to backup your profiler prior to the update. It is really easy to do and has saved my butt before.
I am one of those who isn't having any problems with old rigs. I updated to the beta, then updated that to the release.
There were reports in the first beta of the reverb setting problem .... but again, I didn't have it.
I have certainly not heard any difference in the base tone of my rigs.... except for getting much better sounding rigs overall after using the new reverbs.
Despite this, I do believe that there are some with this problem. Generally speaking, people don't just waste their time and effort creating hate and discontent for no reason. I am confident that Kemper will find and fix the problem soon.
For those that suggest that Kemper is doing something nefarious by removing older revisions of the firmware ..... please...... get real.
Kemper is simply making sure that there are as few issues in the field as possible. This is the best way to ensure that. Having to do the validation on moving BACK to "n" number of old revisions of firmware is simply not cost effective. Making a backup of your unit before you update is an absolutely safe way of getting back to what you had since it replaces both the OS and the rigs as a single file.
Now, if I DID have issues with this release, I would still not be going back to my backup. I would simply tweak any old rigs I needed to in order to get them back where they belong. My tone sounds so much better with the new reverbs than with the old ones. Seriously, after the upgrade, I can barely stand the old verb unit in comparison. The new natural verb is so transparent and wonderful that I have modified all my old verbs on rigs anyway.
I would suggest that others do the same. There is nothing the old reverb can do that the new one doesn't do better in every possible way IMO.
As in all things ..... YMMV.
OneEng1 what is the name of the natural reverb in the menu? What should I look for?

Glad to see I'm not the only scaredy cat in the room.
You are not the only scaredy cat in the room! I'm finally updating now. Fingers crossed.

This one isn't turning up using the exact name, Renaud. I wonder if you could double check it for us?
The only ones I see, apart from Bommel's and Chris O's Axe versions, are:
CCV2 4/14 01 57/121 by ElevenEleven Studios
Cameron CCV 01 57/121 by ElevenEleven Studios
Cameron CCV 01 DI by ElevenEleven Studios
TP CAMERON CCV 2D by Tp - I suspect this is an Axe one
Thanks mate.
Absolutely! The Chris O ElevenEleven Studios Camerons are some of the BEST!
