The monitor outputs are line level. Passive speaker cabinets must only be plugged in to the red speaker output.
There is more than enough volume there to potentially damage your hearing
Are you sure you understand what line level is?

That's it, using the imprints and bypassing the cab module is how you (theoretically) remove the mic from the signal chain. Retaining the cab module retains the mic'ed up sound.
I like it but you'll have to try for yourself.
Also, don't discount the cabinet itself, it makes a huge difference, particularly for hi gain at volume
Thanks, yeah I get that part. But if you're using a Kab as your monitor, wouldn't you want the sound from the profile's cab instead of some other speaker sound from an imprint?
I hear ya, but since when has the sound of your amp been the same as your mic'd amp through front of house? The Kones/Kab are there to give you the familiarity of playing in front of a real amp, but whatever works for you
I still don't understand the point of the imprint. Do you use it on top of the profile's cab, or instead of?
Instead of for monitor outputs, with the cab module only for main outputs
I got the Kone fever and after a year bought one. I was super stoked to say the least, my hopes were very high. Put it in an open back cab this morning and spent several hours tweaking settings and.....nope, just to fizzy no matter what i tried. Just swapped it out for an old celestion out of a fender mustang for now, not ideal but I can tolerate it. The quote above is worth its weight in gold.
Sounds odd. Were you getting a significant change in tone when you were selecting different imprints or was it just the same level of fizz?
Have you plugged the Kab in to main out or monitor out?
Line outputs aren't going to give you any volume, I'd suggest make sure you understand what your doing before you start plugging speaker leads into random jacks, you'll end up damaging an expensive piece of equipment
Other, Kones in a cab
Sorry @G String obviously the boss has been keeping secrets from you. The latest toasters definitely have wifi:
Obviously the earlier models with blown led's allow for more voltage to go to your output signal. No point wasting voltage on fancy led's
Another thought, maybe take some photos of them all in your current music room together, it may seem your importing a commercial quantity of guitars to sell, they may try hit you for import duties. Being they're all left handed should help your cause, no one would be silly enough to sell only left handed guitars in Aus. Suggest at least check ahead with Australian customs
16 lefties? I'd suggest send them via Adelaide first so there's not such a humidity shock. I'd expect to lose a couple of nice ones in transit, that's freight companies for you.
My address is...
They don't. Kemper have already confirmed it
Not even the newer ones? My rack unit's newer than the stage
I forgot the stages all have wireless modules built in. I wonder if the newer rack and head units have been getting them too?
Sorry to digress further...
I look at a great guitarist as to how well they do their job. I can't think of any other guitarist who could have made Appetite what it was. How would it have sounded if it was CC Deville? Or even Steve Vai? It definitely wouldn't have sounded great and you probably wouldn't listen to it twice.
And how would Passion and Warfare sound with Slash wailing away for an hour plus? I don't want to contemplate that one.
I think we can all agree that Slash was the best guitarist for Appetite for Destruction, the Edge is the best guitarist for U2, Nuno is the guitarist's guitarist (huge fan too!) and the Kemper can do whatever you need it to do given the time and commitment
What are you currently using as a poweramp?
I was having a jam on the weekend with a few musos and a small crowd, the other guitarist was gobsmacked how I could go from high gain (7.5 on the gain dial on a plexi profile) to Wind Cries Mary whilst on the other side of the hall from my amp by just switching pickups and lowering the guitar's volume.
It definitely works, I'm happy to show Slash if he needs
Kabinet if you want to get out of the bedroom and jam with other musos one day!
Same with cars. People think driving a Vette is a chick magnet, but the only people who ever come up and say, "cool car, man" are the dudes.
I met my wife when I was playing in a band, so if it weren't for guitars, I wouldn't have met my her and our kids wouldn't exist. That's the reasoning I give when she asks why I have the ever increasing guitar collection, and I seem to get away with it.
The collection of Japanese performance cars though, she doesn't buy any excuses for them. But you're right, the dudes love them
