So I've been doing something kind of silly lately where I run my guitar into some 500 series gear (jhs 500 series superbolt, then colourbox) then out to the front panel input of my Kemper rack unit. I know it's way too hot of a signal, but turning it down low it can sound really great on some profiles.
My question is this: Is this ok? Am I going to blow anything up doing this? Is there a better/safer way?
Apologies for resurrecting this old thread, but I think the context is good to have. I finally got my F12-X200's from Sweetwater (who had a heck of a time getting them from Celestion - we all know about the delays there), so I decided to go ahead and order a couple of the Celestion reference design cabs custom from the excellent folks at Zilla. While I'm waiting for these to be built and delivered, has anyone else in the states received theirs yet? If so, how are they working for you?
I found this video pretty interesting with respect to setting them up for use with a Kemper:

there must be a problem with your build
I'd love to know more about your 1x12 cab setup. I have two of these speakers on order and was planning to do two 1x12's hooked up to my matrix gt1000fx.
I have a couple of these on preorder from Sweetwater. Whenever they are finally delivered, I'm planning on building a couple small 1x12 cabs for them based on the reference designs published by Celestion. I'll run them from a 1u Matrix GT1000FX (I wish I had a 2u, but oh well), connected of course to my unpowered Kemper. I'm curious if there are others out here planning on doing the same, or similar?
