I am using a DI profile/ powered Kemper though my cab. When I am recording, I use a merged profile with a favorite cab sim.

But 1) when it comes to multiple distortion stages both Helix and Fractal are above kemper by a big margin for me (even the unit not being designed with that in mind it'd a legitimate extension of what kemper can do, at least for me) and 2)
last night was quite the opposite again with my other guitarist and his Axe3 versus my Kemper. We are working on a project with heavy distortions and I was cutting through the mix more than him and it was heavy. I was using my JJ100 Profile and he was kept on going through his rig to find something to keep up. Last night was final night I think with the Axe. He said he was going today to pick up his Kemper. His tone is not bad but it gets lost with whatever amp sim he uses. It's weird. We thought it might be his guitar maybe because I am using a couple guitars with more mids and highs with ebony fretboards. So we switched and it still didn't help. The Axe is cool, was going to buy one prior to trying out the Kemper. I am glad I went with Kemper, so much easier to dial in and play for me.

So after last nights jam, I got home and put my gear in the living room because I was going to redo my guitar cave this morning. Got up early, made some coffee, said, I'll just plug in and jam for a few minutes with my coffee...
4 hours later, haven't started the room yet.. It's the damn Kemper's fault. Was sounding so good that I got lost. Pulled out one guitar and then another and another and so on. Lol. Well, I better get to the room. ? Damn that Kemper..

great stuff but I want something with a poweramp built into it. ? Bommel
They all sound good. Still Kemperfide here.

To hell with everyone. I going back to my old Korg Pandora Silver. ?

Bueller?
Report coming Fry..

What I find funny is the fact that there are only two options in the poll. Neither of which includes Kemper.
Troll post for sure
I was hoping a Zoom would be added to the poll.

My other guitarist I play with has the AxeIII... He is wanting a Kemper after going back to back with mine. I am Kemperfide.

So true. I know it's been a little over 2 months and I haven't dialed in much other than my main 3. Once I got those down, I have been playing more and more. I have a few new profiles that I have been playing around that I really like with but still stuck on my main 3.
"...has devoted much of his time in the past 6 months to recreating Mark’s unique sounds has done an amazing job".
That doesn't mean automatically that they made all new profiles. Could also mean they just used existing rigs and tweaked them to recreate his unique sound! Who knows?
And much time in the past 6 months is not every day - could mean anything. It had to be ready before the tour start in any case.

I wonder what Mark's user name is on the forum. Maybe he's one of the guys constantly asking for a Kemper 2 floor unit with dual amp profiles and more effects recently
hahahaha!!

17K?!? Holy High Output, Batman!
Can you believe it sounds like a compressed Paf? Lol

They're passing through my home town in a month. I need a USB drive and some strong liquor.
I would gladly help fund this for you.. ✊

Does anyone have any idea why the 108’s are out of stock almost everywhere?
I’m wondering if a revised version is on its way...
I like the small size and lack of a fan (no fan noise!)... I might just place one in the living room where the wife won’t have to see it, and keep it handy for quick practice sessions when I don’t feel like using headphones.
More than likely the price and Headrush was caught off gaurd by selling out. For thr price, these are a great deal.

with your 212, I am assuming you have the powered head, start with a merged or direct profile. I run mine with a 412 cab loaded with 2 V30's and 2 Creamback H-75's. I haven't ran too much with added EQ's to the profiles I use. I always go to the amps definition and compressor to taste. I start off looking for profiles that are profiled with very high gain and back it off to taste. Better to back off then add I have noticed. My pickups are pushed PAF styles pups, around 8.9k to more modern pups of 12k and they work great with the high gain profiles I use. I have one guitar with an 17k pup and it sounds good too. My teles with lower gain pups work good too, just a few minor tweaks of the profiles so I just save those for those two teles.

I love my Headrush 108. I use it nightly during my bed jams. Lol.

Yes, you read that correctly. My work in profiling has been extensive and has been well received by the few members of the community who have taken a chance with http://www.mattfig.com
Here is my offer, take a look at the site, tell me what is interesting to you and what you are willing to pay. I will send to you and ask that you review it in this thread. I do not advertise and make very little money from profiling, my site is kinda dying and this is my last shot.
If you are a previous customer, firstly - THANK YOU. Secondly, please share your experience on this thread if you would be so kind.
Thanks much, let the games begin!

PS. I love to talk shop, if you have been looking for a tone and haven't found it- let's talk. I bet I have it!
Well check it out over the weekend! Thanks

this thing is better than any valve amp I have ever owned. Can I hear the difference between the two- yes I can but the small difference is offset by the ridiculous range of flexibility, this profiler offers.
So true. What sealed the deal for me was when we went back to back with a couple tube amps. After a few passes, we couldn't remember which was which between the Kemper and the valves. We were testing this with the same 412 cab. It was really a shock to me. People talk about the feel, with some fine tuning, the feel to me is close. In a band setting, on the money.
