I had a lengthy conversation with one of Mark Knopfler's crew members last tour and he stated that Knopfler didn't really care all that much for how much the KPA sounded like his tube amps. He certainly wasn't caught up in it as much as some people are. He just really liked the sound of the unit, the flexibility, the stability, the ergonomics and the reduction in crew burden it proved to be.

I would use the TS indeed boosted with the Kemper Drive at a Klon setting.

Try stacking two drives in different slots. You can’t get that boosted sound with just one drive slot.

I browsed a lot but haven't found an answer, sorry if it has been discussed before.

As I understand it, Clean Sens and Dist Sens is used to balance the levels between clean profiles and distorted profiles. Does this also apply to a clean profile with added distortion effects? Or is it only applied to profiles of distorted amps, i.e. with "inherent" distortion? I can't seem to figure it out.

I'm really curious about the "Gig View" as well which - as I understand it - is available in all three modes.

I just pre-order the QC. Thinks I'm looking forward to testing:

- How does it compare to the KPA when profiling / capturing a rig which includes multiple (stacked) OD pedals?

- How will the different operating modes of the KPA (browsing vs performing) compare to the modes of the QC (presets, scenes, stomps)?

- How does the UI experience compare to the KPA, including the computer editor?

This looks very interesting. I'm really curious as to how the QC could capture an analog rig with multiple stacked drive pedals (ie BB into TS or vice versa). I never really got convincing results with the KPA.

Drive and tone go from 0 to 10, volume is from-5 to 5 if I’m correct.

I have the same issue. At first tightening all the screws seems to have fixed it but now it has returned. It seems to resonate at certain frequencies. 14th position on the b-string is worst for me. At first I thought other things in my studio were resonating but it's definitely the Kabinet after trying it in different rooms.

I've contacted Kemper support yesterday as I think it might be a manufacturing problem.

Are you sure it's not your audio interface that's causing the problem? I had the same thing with my Apogee Ensemble years ago, it would lose its firewire connection to my Mac for a couple of seconds when any other electrical device (lights, water cooker) got turned on that was connected to the same voltage group.

Hope you can help! My main performance is a set of three slots with the same profile of my favorite amp. However, the effects change based on the slot. It's basically this:

1 - Profile 1, clean, only reverb

2 - Profile 1, chorus, reverb

3 - Profile 1, green scream, reverb

There are other effects beneath the switches on the remote based on the activated slot, but I don't use 'em all that often.

Here's the thing. Slot 1 and 2 have a nice output volume. However, slot 3 has an output volume of at least -6 dB lower on peaks. I measured this by recording different stuff into Pro Tools. How can this be? Clean Sens and Dist Sens are all at 0 in all slots. All slots have the same Rig Volume setting (0 dB). In the amp section, the volume is at 0 dB in all slots.

It seems that when I deactivate the Green Scream in slot 3, the slot has the same volume as slot 1 and 2. Is this normal behavior? And how to compensate for it? I would have thought that a volume of 0 dB on the Green Scream would stand for unity gain but I might be wrong.

Thanks for the suggestions! I tried checking but I can't get the back cover off again, very frustrating, haha! I'm inclined use a flat screwdriver to flip it out but I'm worried about damaging the kabinet.

I have a problem with my Kabinet / Kone. I use a powered toaster to drive the Kabinet, obviously using the speaker out. As of this morning, when increasing the volume, there is a high end rattle in some of the notes, some notes more than others. This is present both with clean rigs and distorted rigs, it's really only volume dependent. On low volumes the Kabinet sounds like what I'm used to, but all of a sudden, when increasing the monitor out volume of the KPA, some notes sound very fuzzy, distorted, in a bad way.

Could this be a broken Kone? I've removed the back panel but I don't see any damages on the speaker. Is there any other way to check?
