I did it too ! This discussion piqued my interest ! ^^;)

Seems to take money and place in the room :rolleyes:. I don't need it for the moment, don't do recording but i'm curious....:saint:

Est-ce que tu as bien fait la calibration ?

En même temps, si la pédale n'est pas calibrée cela devrait juste mener à ce qu'elle s'arrête en course à la moitié/les 3/4....Tu devrais toujours avoir du son.

Va le menu pedal sur le Stage pour voir comment elle réagit. C'est peut-être une inversion de phase ; la pédale travaille à l'envers ou elle change de fonction en bout de course ; de volume à wah (mais le volume devrait passer au max).....

The other guitarist of our band bought a Helix LT 2/3 months ago.

I've owned one for two years so i purposed him to take it home to search my old presets and put them into Helix...Or work on his presets...

The week i had Helix at home, the update was released, i asked him if i could do it ; software/programms aren't his cup of tea....

So i took the plunge (for him ^^) and could play with the new stuffs...;)

The new update brings, above all, new cabs simulations. It sounds louder and the definition is better. It brings the ability to angle the mic sim and move from the cone to the edge position. This is really an improvment . I assume they've worked hard on this !

I have played with it a good part of week-end....:D

On the other hand, i always feel there's something flat in Helix, and the conclusion was quickly (after pluggin my stage in my monitoring) that there will be no turning back 8o;)

I showed my friend the new parameters, and insisted to built simple presets and to take time on cab's sims' parameters, if you change the mic, its position, its angle, it changes completely.

Don't mind about Aux to go directly to my Kone.

But the question is not so aberrant.

I asked myself if i could plug another modeler into the Kabinet.

I want to use the imprint with my Stage and don't want to buy many FRFR and cabs....

There's nothing in the Kabinet that makes it swap from FRFR to Cab imprints, all comes from the Profiler.

But Kone brings this FRFR possibility, can we obtain FRFR mode with a Helix for instance ?

Is there only EQing (simple stuff to add in chain that exists elsewhere) that we could reproduce or is there something else that other modelers won't be able to do and only profilers do ?

I'm not a speaker specialist and i don't know if we'll be told the secret receipe but just asking.....

I've stopped watching Utube comparisons since the day it was hard for me to distinguish a Helix from a Kemper --> In front of me, when i'm playing, there's no doubt about my preference.... ;)

The ToneX seems attractive but i think it won't meet my needs.

I use a multi to play with my band. How would i use it in that case ? Do i need a computer in gigs or rehearsals ?

I've never profiled an amp, Do i have to with ToneX ? Or is there a database amp exchange ?

Do you need to buy a software too ?

I assume this device is not for me... :)

I'm pleased with my Stage, i think, even if there's a gap (little one) with the QC, the investment would not be justified...

I think i arrive at the end of my GAS journey :)

I understand what you want to do.

Do you have an example cause i don't catch under what conditions you would use it ?

Needing to click a mouse is a lot less convenient than using shortcut keystrokes. I really want Kemper to add the ability for users to assign custom key commands to eliminate the need to use a mouse at all

I agree even if i only use my mouse cause i don't know every shorcut keystrokes. I assume with the new bargraph, they will be able to purpose a heel and toe shortcut if it's not already the case.

Hi Burkhard - another question in this context - I have a Power Kabinet & XiTone MBritt cab .... are there plans whereby I could only apply the imprints to the Kabinet (either Monitor out or Aux out) & no imprints (i.e. the cab of the profile) on the "other" side (mon or aux) for the XiTone cab ... and another feature: are there plans to add the power amp boost (incl. power consumption display) for "standard operation" i.e. "Kemper Kone" not ticked ...

... although I love the Kabinet - but have no intentions to sell the XiTone - which I still thinks is the best frfr solution I have tried of the last 8 years with my Kemper ....

    Have you got a Stage or a Rack/Head ?

Do you send something to a mix table in this context ?

    Do you use stereo ?

Creat individual rigs for each guitar. Use the Panorama control to pan Left and Right. In one rig you could pan Electric Hard Left. In another you could Pan Acoustic hard right.

However, in reality I wouldn’t even bother. i would just set up rigs that balance each guitar’s needs within the Kemper and send a single mono output or stereo pair to the desk.

    This !

I assume you gonna play those two guitars and stay at the same place on stage.

I have very little knowledge on this item but i've started looking at the mix table parameters cause we don't have a soundguy in our band and were/are usualy not satisfied about the sound during gigs (all the buttons were in the middle position :huh:8):/X/).

The little i've read/learnt about it, is, notably, how to set up every instrument following their range frequencies ; plus the pan part ; let the drum in the middle, light pan for each singer, a hard pan for guitarists (the bass, i don't remember if center or light pan but it isn't important, it's useless :P^^:D). But the Pan has to mirror the placement on stage so as not to disturb the audience.

For me, all this job is enterily dedicated to the mix table....

So i don't understand why you want to cross the sound and send it to the opposite side ?!

No criticism in my words, once more, it's new for me, just to know....

I had to test yesterday :)

I tried a crunch stack gain at 6.

I added a drive stomp and an important amount of noise came out.

So i added a noise gate stomp and tried it at the first slot, after the stack and between my drive and the stack.

The most important reduction noise was the last one ; between the drive stomp and the stack.

I presume it's case by case.

It was easy to try different possibilities by drag and drop NG stomp with Ipad Rig Manager..... ;)
