Are you making your own profiles or more so using those others have created?
Mostly commercial profiles. Excellent amps from people that know how to dial them up.

I know they used Roland JC amps for cleans back in the day, maybe try getting a profile on that amp and add some chorus on it. I know TAF (The Amp Factory) has that model and it's got a fair price tag as well. Never played one but sounds really convincing to me
Welcome to the forum, I am still blown away every timer I power it up!
: Isn't everything so unstable in new releases?
It is not.
Has anyone tried these?
Celestion F12X200
The issue when using a single cabinet is that you are "tied" to that specific sound. If you are running into a 4x12 with V30's on it, a Fender profile won't sound "optimal" since this is not the cab and speaker for the job. You also need to deactivate cab simulation in the output monitor as well or run direct profiles.
I've never tried the Kemper Kabinet nor the Kone so can't speak for those, other people in the forum can provide more colour....
From my experience, if you are going for a FRFR make sure to invest some $ on it, I've gigged with my Yamaha DSR12 several ocasions with a loud hard rock band and it can definitely stand by the other guitarist's 2x12.
Other option (also a preferred from the forum) is the DXR10's from Yamaha as well. Lighter, smaller, but mighty (they do not go to 11 ).
Recently discovered this band "Airbourne" and their live performances is amazing. ACDC meets Metallica
I am currently using a Yamaha DSR112. Very happy but super bulky, thinking about changing to the Kabinet. Anyone has experience coming from a FRFR to the kabinet?
Shouldn’t the Cab section be Globaly OFF From the Monitor OUT?
Hi drop the sun , if you use the Kemper Stage, you can manually disable to cab on the OUtput button. I guess there should be a similar feature in the Toaster/Rack.
This is the beauty of the Kemper, some people (like me) will never be able to try a SLO100 or a JCM800 as, at least in Brazil, those are insanely expensive.
We can try all flavours before settling with the favorite. Hope you enjoy your new rig!
Just letting my 2 cents here...
THe FM3 as well as the HX Stomp is VERY appealing due to the real state savings on the pedalboard. HOwever, coming from a Line6 Pod HD500x, I am playing more than tweaking with the kemper.
Before modellers nobody was concerned about tube bias, sag and all these other crazy components of amps I didnt even know existed. Kemper, in my opinion, makes life simple as, if I dont like a profile, I move on.
However, if you are a tweaker, these are definitely appealing
No time spent on tweaking, just playing
Would a Vodoo Labs Power 2 Plus suffice? It has a standard output plug 200v max. Im considering to power 3 pedals + the stage.
personally I'd limit tweaking.
This is very useful advice. If a profile doesnt sound right, move on. Chances are you will find the one you love with minor adjustments needed.
Also, welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy the Kemper as time passes by, the hype is real
Welcome, hope you enjoy the foum!
Welcome, Jimbo72 ! I took a long time to upgrade from the good old POD HD500x and never looked back!
I am sure you will find a lot of friendly users here, as this is a very healthy/toxic free forum.
Some tips:
1) If you have an expression pedal and like wah wah, check out:
2) If you want to check users opinion on nice commercial profilers:
If you could only get profiles from 3 'profile makers' - whose would they be?
3) Also, very useful from Monkey_Man , unoficcial forum etiquette as we are all civilized people lol
Hope you enjoy the journey
Saw the updates to this thread and expected we already had the preset for the pedal, really disappointed to see this.
On a side note, I visited this forum long before having a Kemper (even bought my first FRFR for my Line6 POD from this forums recommendations).
I am (still) under the impression users are incredibly skilled and friendly. I like to think this is something ponctual and he was just having a bad day...
Have you tried putting an FX loop in Slot A? I think you will get the rsults you want if you connect the piezo pickup into the return, and set the Loop Mix (Post position) to 100%. When the Loop is enabled, the piezo is routed into the rest of the Kemper. When the Loop is bypassed, the front Input is functional.
This is genius!
I think a similar thread is already well established here:
What are "your" hidden gems in Rig Exchange? Post your best finds here ...
Thanks!! can any moderator close this thread?
EDIT: I am referring to Commercial Profiles rather than Rig Exchange :). Sorry if i did not make this clear up there.
Hello everyone,
I read a lot of users talking about the "rabbit hole" of profiles and sounds. Being honest, I quickly found the sound I was looking for (with the tips from some users here ).
The idea on this thread is to share some profiles seeking some specific types of sounds, hopefully this can assist some users trapped in "the hole".
I was looking for the modded Marshall 80's hair metal type of sound and found on:
- TopJimi Profiles: Marshall AFD Modded (almost the same tone as ADF Album on very high gain profile)
- TopJimi Profiles: Marshall LeeJackson Modded (pure 80's metal on very high gain profile)
- BigHairy Profiles: Soldano SLO100 (for leads there are 2 or 3 profiles already set up with effects).
- TAF Profiles: JC-120 for 80's clean sound (add some chorus from Kemper itself)
Let's share some other sounds so maybe we can help other users!
Thanks everyone
Thank you very much Zenmaster ! Looking fwd to this one!
