I understand this now, I was confused as well and tried to "extract" the .bin file, which ended up with a lot of nonsense, as you can imagine. I guess my Maxc OS extracted it automatically....
if people take the time to read the How to update the KEMPER PROFILER operating system pdf file it will save some frustrating time

what is a merged profile?
The profile consists of two separate Profiling Sessions: A direct amp profile (called DIProfile) without any cab AND the Studio Profile with mics. Both profiles are then mixed together (Merged Profile)
If you want to up the gain- is it best to do it with a Green screamer, pure booster or the gain knob?
is better to do it with the Green Screamer or Pure Booster

I have 2 small M Audio BX5’s at home & am going to try some of these profiles at rehearsal into a 4x12
i have the same monitors, but then could be your guitar,i have a Fender Strat with Seymour JB on the bridge,if the profiles sound too boomy try to raise the definition button or lower the bass a bit.

I bought Bert’s BE pack & it sounds good but is very bassy IMO. I wonder how it will sound with a power amp & real cab?
i think all depend on your cab/monitors,on my m-audio those profiles doesnt sound bassy.

And don't forget you can switch cabs to something you might like better.
To me it's the Cab that influences what you hear the most. The freq content and spectra. And the Amp part is the one that you feel as a player, how responsive to your playing, articulation, pickups and so on.
i commented on another post that swiching cabs can really help with the profile sound, and a user commented this.....
"The algorithm to separate the cab from the amp is not perfect, therefore the result won't be "kosher" (wouldn't sound like this combination in real-life). That doesn't mean it can't sound great"

Thank you!!!

today i was testing a mbritts profile Helios that was sounding mehh but i changed the cab and omg glorius sound,i used a LRS ir
Guidorist said that he is not a fan of switching cabs but i think after some testing that switching can make some profiles sound awesome.
the Kone Cab is going mimic different kind of speakers is almost the same like switching cabs on the profiles.
-
Suggestion: research switching out cabs.
yeah that is what im doing with some profiles

Didn`t work for me

so how to do a kemper stage factory reset?
-
goint to try to do a factory reset on my Kemper hope it works fine

That's not fun, wasting money. I know how it can feel. I've erased some profile packs I've bought. I wonder how many vendors lie when they say their soundclips/videos are unprocessed.
im pretty sure some vendors lie when they tell people their soundclips/videos are unprocessed, same happen with the IR vendors.

It usually boils down to the listening environment more than any other factor. Certain rooms can make profiles too bass heavy, or too mid-heavy or too trebly.
Have you tried auditioning with a neutral pair of headphones? You'd be surprised at how different the profiles sound in comparison to your room.
yes i have tried with headphones but to be honest i hate playing with headphones, but you know we spend some money on profiles just to found out that those profiles sound very bad

Some profiles sound perfect with one guitar and the pickups in it and with other guitars and pickups it sounds anything thatn good. I have profiles from one vendor where it sounds good with just one of my guitars. With the others and different pickups they sound ice picking. That's why I want a vendor should have at least one free profile to try if it's something for me or not.
most of the time when i bought profiles i read that the seller used a Humbucker Seymour Duncan JB on the bridge and that make me buy his profiles but when i tested the seller profilers on my Fender Strat with the Humbucker Seymour Duncan JB the seller profiles sound very harsh with no punch, same happen with some Axe 3 profiles that on the seller video sound awesome but when i tried them the presets sound horrible
-
im having the same issue with mbritt.top jimmy, guidorist, and LRS they sound harsh on my Kemper Stage,i have found free profiles that sound fantastic,.also i really liked Fremen presets,i dont really understand why some profiles sound awesome and other paid profiles sound horrible
