Wow! I’ve never heard them before. That’s crazy, though.
Actually, I made it a point to not listen to any music that could influence my writing this album, for the 2 years it took to write it.
That´s a good thought .... Keeping the mind clean
But I guess you listened a tiny bit to Allan H. Frank Gambale, John Patitucci, Mahavishnu,
Bill Bruford and Pat Metheny long before recording this album ..... ?
May I ask what profile you use for solo from 1.28 in "Floki´s Shipyard" ?? Very "Holdsworthian" tone
Cheers !
Ha! Indeed I have listened to thousands of hours of all on that list and well, practically everyone. ? Which is why I was terrified to even listen to Scott Henderson’s new album more than a couple of times when it came out. LOL!
So, the tone on that track wasn’t the Kemper yet, as I bought it in November 2019. It’s likely the Helix Native OR a Digitech RP1000.I’m absolutely terrible at keeping track of what I use and where. And I record direct into my DAW with no chance of re-amping, so I can’t even go back into the session and find out.
I CAN tell you that Shut Up and Dance is ALL Kemper (plus the Eventide H9). The guitar and drums duet is the Kemper. And the piano and guitar duet is the Kemper.
Once I was done with the tracks, I did dry things up for Steve Hunt to mix and he used his own post production processing. Since he’d worked with Allan for so long, I told him that I trusted him completely, which worked out nicely.
Anyway, thanks for your support and interesting questions.
Peace

Hi Scott !
Check them out ( Happy the Man ) Good prog-fusion from late 70´s.
This song was what I was thinking of when I heard that 1.57 part in "Shut up and Dance" : D

Wow ! The best I heard since "Secrets" ,"Wardenclyffe Tower" & "Hard Hat Area"
Steve Hunt rules on keys, as always. Well done, chaps ! Impressed
( Do I hear a little "Happy The Man" influence from 1.57 in "Shut up and Dance" ? )
Cheers !
thanks man!! Working with Steve was a real joy.
I’m not familiar with Happy the Man, actually. ? -
Burning classic Funk #49 James Gang vibe!! Great solo!

Thank you very much for reading this!!
This is the band I play guitar and sing for "Gabrielle Graves"
Wanted to share a few tracks that we just released. After recording the songs live during the mixing process our producer wanted more GUITAR!!!! The Drums and Bass were sounding huge and guitars a bit thin so we used the DI tracks and RE Amped for both guitarists adding 3 differnt Kemper Profiles each side bringing them in and out of the mix as needed. WHAT A MASSIVE DIFFERENCE. THE Bob Rock approach.... MASSSIVE GUITARS =)
The main guitar amps L and R are "Marshall 40c modded by Shian Storm" + "Hand built Plexi/Bassman 50w clone by Shian Storm"
Let me know what you think. love music + guitar and Kemper has really revolutionized things for us!!!

brilliant!!The tunes are incredible and really well produced!
I absolutely love the vocal harmonies.
The vibe on Hands is so good. And that outro solo was searing. Reminded me a bit of Ty and a bit of Landau.
Best of luck with all you’re doing!

Greetings fellow players!
My album “Fictional Characters” is finally released!
I use the Stage Profiler throughout.
Featuring myself as composer and on guitar; musicians Steve Hunt, (long time keyboardist for the late guitar legend Allan Holdsworth), as well as drummer Archibald Ligonnière and bassist Romain Labaye, (both of whom have been renowned guitarist Scott Henderson’s band on his recent tours and latest album “People Mover”, *which was just voted Best Jazz Fusion Group by Jazz Times Magazine’s 2020 Reader’s Poll).
Hopefully you’ll give it a listen and dig it!
Thanks!
