Hi there, here's a new track i wrote tonight using some free Heavyocity plugins. The profile is the TAF - Blue Ton Cr 2 profile. It's very ambient sounding
Wow. I'm missing a few of my windows in the house here. Guess you blew them out easily with that tune. How thick is that? Sick as well. Great tune Joe!
Lol, thanks deadman42
Sounds great Per Pretty punky sounding
Excellent Joe! Nice use of a Trem slicer effect on the intro. You've got a tone that rivals 3 Doors Down.
Thanks BayouTexan i do love a bit of tremolo fx
Gorgeous Sound Joe, Massive and the orchestra voicing make it unique.
Thanks MuddySludge, that particular profile sounds pretty good recorded. I've been experimenting with the orchestral stuff, it's fun to try and see where i can add it.
Beautiful Joe! Wonderful track great to hear more from you, been a while. I'm also in the process of decorating and renovating, scary how it snowballs!
Thanks Per . My advice would be get someone else to do it lol, good luck with it
Hi there, it's been a while since i posted a new tune, i've been busy decorating and generally not getting much time to play or even listen to music. Back at it now and i recorded this tonight. I used a Top Jimi Friedman JJ profile in Drop C, I also added some Native instrument and spitfire sounds.
OOooh, shades of early 80s queen in that massive riff. Incredible solo too, I wish I could shred like you. Greatly enjoyable track once again, great stuff and thanks for sharing!
Thanks Per adding the keyboard made it all the more 80’s 😂 thanks for the comments on the solo but if you heard it isolated you might not think it 😂
New tune, Kontact
Hi there, its been a while since i've been on. I wrote this tonight, i downloaded some nice free synths from native instruments that i wanted to try out. The profile i used was the "TAF - Diesel VH 4 Ch 3" which is a killer drive tone
I like that Western whammy action starting at 20 seconds. I expected Clint Eastwood to come out guns drawn. Epic!
Thanks BayouTexan, i was going for "The good, the bad and the ugly" 😂
Huge sounding again Franjoe30 really love the deep grainy distortion sounds you get. Very artful arrangement too around that solo, moments of Audiosoave and then Mastodon at the end too, some of my favorite big rock tones. Fantastic work!
Thanks Per That particular TAF profile is really good and lower gain that you'd expect.
Kinda gothic vibe... very nice Joe. Guitar sound great as always and a very nice "lava rock type" tempo. Cool thing
Thanks deadman42 , i do really like that TAF profile
This is an original song i wrote, hope you enjoy it. It is called Moroccan Nights https://www.reverbnation.com/a…/31467169-moroccan-nights
Sounds fantastic pikman , right up my street, brilliant solo at the end
Sounds great MuddySludge , great vibe and playing. I love it when you get to play with a great drummer

I realized the verse start/end were a chordal palindrome, the reversal made for an interesting tension/release.
Any verb on the vocals is just from the master bus, apart from that I thought I was tracking with the helios 69 (my favorite of the UAD mic preamps) and c-suite on it, but apparently they were turned off, so it's actually just raw from the mic with zero processing at that end or on the channel.
There's some generally light processing on the master - Capitol Chambers for a transparent "cohesion" reverb, then a tape plugin which is really only used for it's handy Vu meter so I can level the output, followed by an EQ where I pushed the treble and cut some mids, and finally BX master-desk that I use because it has a tool that takes all really low frequencies and pans them dead center which helps reduce mush a little and it also has a hopefully not too dreadfully heavy handed compression.
Having said that I realize the vocals do sound compressed, but they also sound that way without the master stuff on so I suspect it's a byproduct of me being so close I was pretty much eating the mic while recording. I was using it off-axis slightly to try and reduce plosives, breaths and sibilance, which lead to an interestingly slightly muffled sound (part of what I recovered with the treble push on the master), I wasn't expecting that level of rejection.
Sounds fab Per , a really great laid back track. Vocals sounded great as is and when everything came in it was just uplifting. Brilliant as always
Hi all, here's a wee tune i wrote tonight. It's using the TAF - Car profile again. Its pretty atmospheric in places. There's also on e of the free Spitfire Labs samples in there too.
Cool track Joe and nice creativity with the new samples! I might download me some...

BTW, I've been working on reference tracks, and trying out different DAW tricks to use on my next mixes. On top of that, I've been working on my KillStrat guitar. It's been in pieces for a couple of weeks while I add all the mods. I only have a stereo jack left to solder in and then screw it back and string it. I want to do my next mixes with it. I'll be sure to post pics next week.
Thanks BayouTexan Looking forward to seeing the guitar
Awesome stuff Franjoe30 ! Yeah I love the spitfire stuff too, we’ll worth exploring.
Thanks Per The spitfire stuff is great fun
Hi there everyone, it's been a while since I've been on, so much great music has been posted since i was last here.
I wrote this tonight, it also includes some free Spitfire Audio Labs samples which i have fallen in love with. The profile i used is the stock "TAF - Car S 6 BP+" with some minor tweaks
Sounds fantastic Mats_Nermark the playing and the production are spot on, it’s a pleasure to listen to. Your production is way better than mine
Sounds great, the clean guitars at the start are fab too
Sounds excellent, great energy, well done
