Pretty much every DI I use even from paid packs is lacking significant low end thump.
Guitar > Kemper Powerhead > Mesa Cab
I don’t get it. My real amps don’t sound or feel that way. I pretty much have to add an EQ to every DI and add at least 5dB to low gain minimum.
Something doesn’t seem right...

To be honest before this virus hit and had me work double shifts on end all the time at the hospital I spent way too much time chasing tone rather than actually playing guitar...
... and now I barely have time to play at all lol. Guessing I could get myself another kemper with all that extra wage and play true stereo

Did you ever get any closer here? I'd be interested in this too...when referring to profile maker with all merged profiles...are they referring to Deadlight Studios? I didn't think Sinmix is only merged...
Same scenario here. I'm looking to purchase a used power head and would like all he global settings and rigs back to factory default. As well as any foot controller settings. I see all the available rig packs on the Kemp site, so I am not concerned about loading rigs back in. How do I wack out any global/system setting and foot controller assignments the previous user may have changed? Thanks!
Send an email to Kemper support. They will send you the instructions to do so along with a backup file that will reload it back to 100% factory state using the latest official firmware.

A different SS amp will make very little difference, a valve amp might as the power amp imparts some colour ( depending on the amp, gain applied etc).. but...I certainly would not start chasing a Valve amp power amp just yet for various reasons, namely you are adding more variation/colour etc. more gear etc.
The point is the KPA is not a valve amp ( I know, obvious) but doesn't try to be. Its focus is on the whole signal chain so arguably its more geared towards the FOH sound. As a result I have personally focused on that and not got stressed about any lack on Umph as its only for backline - this is a mindset change because the focus was always previously on backline because that was the start of the miked sound. With the KPA this is not the case as you go direct out.
Can you get an amp in the room sound? Yes I think you can but you might need to re-visit your profiles. You are effectively reverse engineering the profile process but removing the cab and mike colour to then put through a real cab.
It does it pretty well and I was always fairly happy with my sound through a guitar cab but you also might need to make more adjustments e.g. use Direct or merged profiles etc,
My comments are very generic of course but I hope that helps in some way...
I only use Merged or Direct profiles when using my cab in the room...monitor output off (i.e. no cab sim). I just feel my tone is missing that feeling and I've had a Kemper Kabinet and didn't like it at all. There's enough pros out there using a KPA with real cabs, even as backline that I'm sure they're using something other or better than the powerhead amp, and aren't just blasting cab volume for the sake of backline noise...they probably have some dialed in tones too even if FOH is getting the full simulated feed.

I have a powerhead kpa. I’m thinking about putting two Kones in my Mesa vertical 2x12 cab.
Has anyone done this with a real and been happy with the results? Obviously the Mesa only gives me the UK V30 sound but curious if I’d like the cab as a converted FRFR cab.
Is it simply plug and play to install the Kones or is soldering involved? Is there any other parts I’d need to buy to install them?
I have the Powerhead version that I bought 6 months ago or so. I run it into a 2x12 Mesa cabinet. So far I’ve not been 100% satisfied with the built in power amp when using a real guitar cab (not FRFR). Every time I play a real tube amp I feel like something is just missing on the output side of things with the Kemper.
Is there anyone with experience using the powerhead but uses a 3rd party power amp instead?
I’m thinking about maybe a Fryette Power Station 2? Maybe areal tube amp (even with slight coloring) might give me the oomph and that feel that’s missing.
So OP...did you buy it?

Could be. I also have a Marshall 9100 I can try.

I am as well...I am tempted to try a different power amp like the PowerStage or even a Fryette Power Station tube amp just see. I'm not sure the built in amp is best for that application.

Hey man, these are pretty awesome! Any chance you can do more DIs or "Live" DIs? Maybe some more of the blue channel with a bit higher gain? They are sounding great through my Mesa 2x12...I'm still tweaking a little but they're really good out of the gate.

So I am running my Kemper though an Egnater tourmaster 4x12 Cabinet with Celestion Vintage 30's. I played around with it and built our bands setlist up in performance mode with the cabinets turned off, of course. Most of the time I'm running a recto amp and the sounds I'm getting are awesome! In fact I just played my first gig with this setup and to be honest, my first gig at a bar. It went off without a hitch! The only thing that was odd was the soundcheck, because I ran the Kemper to the board with the main output xlr and since the cabinets were turned off it sounded weird...to much tint. I'm sure there is a way to fix that through the menu, I just haven't read that far yet
Fast forward to today..... I just received my Mission Engineering KM-212P!
I wanted to wait for some reviews on this before I bought this but no one is pulling the trigger. So I decided to take the blind leap and get it....and I'm so glad I did!
This thing sounds amazing using the setting's I created for my egnater tourmasterx 4x12. It actually sounds better then my 4x12! I had to asked my wife to come out and blind test the sound because I thought my ears were playing tricks on me.
NOPE.
The Mission Cab blows away the Vintage 30's with the setting's I dialed in for the tourmaster cab. It just brought more highs and crispness to the sound.
I also have a Mission Gemini 1x12 powered cab with Bluetooth and that is a great cab as well, but I feel more impressed with the KM-212.It just feels more ....um...alive I guess. I like the quality of Mission products and that's why I decided to go ahead an pull the trigger on buying this. I had to write this just because I haven't seen any real hands on with this cab besides the one review on sweetwater's website which was not very informative. I cant say enough good stuff about this and hope this helps someone decide to get this cab that has been on the fence like me.

Hi, I have now tried on official release 7.4 and 7.5 beta, and it doesn't matter, as soon as I turn the knob on my Kemper to PEFORM, it crashes.
I have also noticed that every time I connect via USB to Rig Manager on my PC, it re-syncs ALL 125 performances and takes 2 minutes before I can do anything. This definitely didn't happen in the past.
