Great question!

In terms of vintage tone Lucky Lady Vintage Guitars has one pack out which I thought was stellar. Look forward to their next release. Gainy tones...Tone Wars produces some righteous captures. Hearing rumors of a boutique amp builder who specializes in higher gain models is toying with the idea of releasing a profile pack. No official word yet but these could be well received by players who like some sizzle. Hopefully more to come on that.

Try the Mark 5:25 profiles from Tone Wars. Those are gainy and responsive.

Grado Labs S225e here. I like them a lot. Not studio reference type phones though.

Watch out for OS 8.1!
Very long winded story made short I am really getting into the new Kemper Drives after an initial meh reaction. Using them through headphones with a clean amp and the sounds being created are fantastic. Look forward to more drive - OD pedal options if they are coming!!!

I was never happy with my Focusrite device and the profiler. Stumbled upon this (how to connect the devices together) and it resolved my issues.
No clipping on the audio device or in Reaper with perfect levels. Might be worth a shot connecting in this manner? Hope this helps you get things to your liking.

I tend to set the pure cabinet at 3.0 (most of the time). Just seems like a good setting for me. Lower works as well but kind of just ended up there so I leave it. I play in small room about 5 feet away from the Kabinet (staring right into the middle of speaker). The direct hit of sound is ok as it seems to sound good from where I sit. Sweeting is used due to the fact it is a small room and do not need higher levels of volume so try to even it out a bit with this dial.
My ears are old and damaged so these may not work for other players. I like to tweak - experiment with the dials so am open to trying things. Moody with tone as well as I can go weeks using headphones for kicks. The profiler gives one many tone options and it reads like you have a nice setup going for you!

If I correctly understand the question (my apologies if not) there are two locations. The output section > scroll to the bottom. The second would be in the cab settings itself (within the profile). I set a global imprint (full-range is not available) within the output. Then I click the cabinet settings to modify the global imprint or use full range mode.

I use FR mode sometimes. Just depends on the profile I guess. I would think that FR gives you more of an accurate sound to what the author recorded. Only if I think the profile is too dark or bright is when I change it.
Yes tends to be profile specific to me as well. Love the flexibility of the Kemper to dial something nice in.

Sometime last year after purchasing the Kabinet full-range was made an available option when in imprint mode. Of late I have been getting some nice tones out of studio profiles and or substituting IR's in the cab section. Anyone else experiencing the same?

As with all the packs updates are free! Login to download V5 for The Legend (based on a Wizard Modern Classic.)
Sweet thanks!!

Very nice profiles. Have been looking for some nice Splawn captures. Thanks!

Haha...you replying made me think of those days. Once back at work on Monday I would wait for the room to get quiet in the afternoon. Then I would play one - them out of the blue over speaker phone . Always a big hit with crowd

This is a nice thread as I have been going through headphones for almost two weeks now. Plugged my Kabinet in once and went back to the phones. I'll stay with them until I start to blow out my ears. I tend to bounce back and forth between the two depending on my mood. Noticed the profile differences myself.

Cool profiles and great service....winning combo. Good to see!

Many options out there but for vintage tones I like the Lucky Lady Vintage Guitar pack. Tweeds and a JTM-45 captured quite nicely in my opinion. Will have to sift through my sea of profiles in regards to gainy or more modern type amps and report back.

Thanks so much for this thread. I stumbled upon it and tried the recommended connection method into my Focusrite 2i4. Been playing through a Kemper Kabinet or headphones via the profiler input.
I really like what I hear through the Focusrite via Reaper (headphones). Cabs sounds great and many IR's I gave up on have taken on new life. I had some nice studio monitors as well but sold them due to lack of use. Now I am re-thinking that addition as well.
Keep in mind this is coming from someone whose idea of recording was calling my work voicemail at night or on the weekends and letting it rip. Once it was full I would move to a teammate's number. Good times...thanks again!!
