I loaded new firmware in. it shut down to reboot. It has been trying to reboot for hours. reconfiguring analogboard (then) booting be pateint( then back to) reconfiguring analogboard.

Was it working fine prior to updating the firmware?
Try using a brand new USB stick, download the firmware again, put it in the main directory of the USB, not in Firmware Update folder.
Press and hold <Page> whilst turning the KPA ON. -

What model are you using. which firmware was installed before, which one did you install? Have you opened a support ticket?
