Anyone know of a product preferably rackmount, with 12-16 inputs, and mutiple outs? Looking at the possibility of building a monitor mixing rack with IEMS for my band. Know of stuff like the behringer X32, far too expensive.
Monitor mixer?

If Behringer is far to expensive you don't have many options.
Have you seen the products from Jamhub? Simple rehearsal inear mixers: http://jamhub.com.
But I would saved some money and bought the Behringer X32 Rack. http://www.behringer.com/EN/products/X32-RACK.aspx
You can set your IEM mix at rehearsals and plug in a mixer when it's showtime and skip the soundcheck

Thanks i'll have a look at those. FYI soundchecks are for the engineer, not for the band!

Well in the old days it was for both... But I actually meant the "monitor part" of the soundcheck. If you set the gain structure in the mixer and the IEM monitor mix before you go to the venue, the engineer will also save a lot of time.
Edit: "old days" is before digital mixers, IEM and the "save scene" function...

True enough Jamhub stuff is V interesting, that+splitter+some wireless IEMs could be a great solution.

But will that be a "so" much cheaper solution than a X32 Rack? The rack version costs around 1475€. If you are going to use IEM every band member can use an iPad or iPhone to control their own monitor mix. Even the sound engineer can use an iPad to do FOH (I don't think thats ideal but for a small venue it may be an alternative...)

Jamhub is a great device.
I own the tourbus model which gives me 7 independent stereo monitor mixes.
In this regard it surpasses my Presonus StudioLive 16.4.2.I'd say Jamhub is optimal for a rehearsal room installation.
I don't consider it very sturdy though so I'd be reluctant to take it out to gigs (would be ok with xtra special care).
