4 ohm and kemper powerhead/rack

  • is awesome for me the new kemper team post of that is possible to conect 4 ohm speaker.

I have a 4 ohm mesa boogie old 2x12 cab,and i play with this cab in my house, because i have caution to damage powerhead, now i know that is possible to increase the volume to play with my band¡¡¡¡¡

thanks kemper team ¡¡¡you surprising me every day¡¡¡¡

    (sorry for my english)

  • I'm not sure you'll increase the volume. It depends on several things, first of which the loudspeaker(s)' sensitivity, which is not the same for all the loudspeakers. Wattage has less to do with it.
But, most than all, you can use a 4-ohm cab at the cost of reducing the output level. This is meant to keep the poweramp's maximum voltage output under the risk threshold, making for the same output.

So, if the sensitivity of you 8 ohm cab's loudspeaker(s) is higher than the one of you 4 ohm cab's loudspeakers, you're actually going to have less volume by using the latter.
