Hi guys, hope you will welcome me to your family.. Here is my story. 8) I have been a guitarist for 25 years and used many tube amps over the years (Mesa, Vox, PRS and and)...But I found myself more fiddling with knobs, setting my sounds or tweaking my effect rack than just playing guitar. After each and every gig I found new aspects of my rig that had to become better to fit my playing style. I switched amps, pedals, cables and more...Many amps broke during gigs or rehearsals, tube failures, cable failures...Well I must have spend nearly the same amount of time for repairing or setting up my rig than for playing. But I never thought of going digital as those products that I tried never gave me the feel of my tube amps... This changed a few weeks ago...I was picking up a new PRS guitar from my dealer and he asked me if I wanted to try out one of those Kemper amps...Well why not, that new guitar has to be played:-) He plugged the Kemper unpowered head into a Friedman ASM-12, flicked some switches and said: "What do you want?" And I said: Well give me one of those Mesa Recitifer models and I am sure we will see why this thing is NOT a tube amp...I was expecting digital fuzziness with ubergain:-) So he switched patches and said: Tune down do Dropped D and give me a chord! That's what I did and.................... HOLY MOLY WAS I BLOWN AWAY! The walls of the room were shaking, that thing felt like the real deal...I could not believe my ears! Okay let's cut the story short. I spend around 3 hours with the Kemper and the Friedman and left the shop with an order receipt for the Kemper! Couldn't decide if I will go with the Friedman (1 month waiting time) but I was convinced that the Kemper will provide me with the sound I need and wanted without having to bring an amp rack, a floorboard and an effect rack to a show...No I am waiting for my Kemper to arrive! I just had fun for 3 hours in the store and nearly every preset I heard sounded great! Thanks for making my music world complete! And HI TO EVERYONE HERE! I am proud to be a part of the Kemper family soon! :)
