Different EQ settings for direct and studio sound simultaneously?

  • Hello,

I've had my Kemper a couple of weeks and am loving it - I've made a profile of my amp and cab which I'm very pleased with.

However, I'd like to have separate eq settings for the profile - For example:

The sound through the cabinet I'm using needs quite a severe bass cut and some extra mids and treble.

But when I go direct with this sound to DAW/PA, it sounds rather thin.

I've tried using the master EQ outs in the output section, and this solves the problem, but only for that one profile. When I change to a clean sound, it's got very little bass....

Does anyone know if there is a way to do what I'm trying to explain?

    Regards

    Joe

  • HiYeah, it makes sense. I guess you could use different sources for the different outputs - eg. having the main outs for the PA/DAW set to "stack", and the monitor out to your cab set to "master" or "mod" or whatever - and then use an EQ in the mod or X fx slot for that particular profile, and set it up to get the best sound for the cab.

This, of course, prevents you from using the FX slots for the PA/DAW.
