Did anybody figure this out? I bought a kemper profiler stage and my apogee element 24 only has optical in and out. says they're ADAT or SPDIF. I bought a pair of converters but i cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the kemper to record SPDIF

I’m hoping someone can explain this to me like I’m a child. I have a kemper stage with an apogee element 24 using logic. I want to record spdif but my interface only has optical. I bought 2 coaxial/optical 2 way converters and I can’t get any signal.

I have my guitar into the kemper, coaxial from kemper out to converter, optical from converter to optical in on my apogee and back the other way from interface out to converter to kemper in. I have the kemper output set to spdif, auto (slave) and set to 44..1 same as my interface. Not getting any sound and can’t seem to figure out what the hell im doing. Any help would be much appreciated.
