I'd like to know what Fortin did to the amp, too.
-
Is it possible that they were initially just substituting the defective LEDs before they realized it was not them themselves?
That's the question. Maybe the underlying issue was identified later.
Would be good to get some more information about this. -
Thank you for your impressions!

It shouldn't be too difficult to split the PROM Socket on the FCB Board into two different sockets for two Prom Chips and install an A/B selector somewhere on the front of FCB, this would give the best of both worlds for users who want to use the FCB with other gear, as the Uno4kemper limits this possibility and the Eurekaprom has some nice new features.
Will try this if I find the time....
Now it gets sophisticated....

Well I foolishly bought the 12" instead of 10", and was quite upset (damn my memory). It's very boomy on the bottom end, is it all right to have the HPF set on 100Hz 'cause that seems to have solved all my issues.
Why don't you return and swap for the 10"? It's also about the footprint and the weight of the 10”.

... so all this pressure from users is IMO useless
I agree with you, but apparently it helps users let off steam.

The CLR indeed will cover you for any live/stage or home use.
I got two of them. -
This is the point I was trying to make: there's nothing like "the most realistic sound" of a poweramp, because an amp always has to play against a load, and any load changes the amp's character and sound, even a DI. It's a relationship, not a solipsism
This. A poweramp is not complete unless it feeds a load.
An amp with cab x sounds different than with cab y not only because the cabs sound different but the amp itself sounds different, too. -
r u sirius rules!!!...thought you guys knew that.
Have you tried these Stomp into a Bogner XTC Clean Channel Profiles?

An active system, if well-designed, has got the advantage that the interaction between the poweramp and the loudspeaker is optimized for the quality of the components.
I believe that the poweramp+loudspeaker system is responsible of a huge part of the wow factor when listening to a high-level digital device, and would spend as much as possible for it.
A high-end system will make the difference.
+1. Definitely don't go for the cheapest.
I'm using (among others) a pair of Yamaha HS 80 monitors. -
Geraldo, Jamstix is a bit different and for sure it has a learning curve.
But when you are into creativity, making up songs and inventing grooves fitting to the songs, there's nothing better on the market.Go to their forum and get help learning Jamstix.
This is the best advice I can give you. -
Tube Thomsen, please!

How was it in rehearsals?
Did you have the impression that both guitars have their sonic place?
Or do you fight in the midrange.
It's always good advice for a guitarist to occupy only a certain space and not to invade the territory of the bass and your fellow guitarist. -
Welcome, schrismer!
I'm sure you missed to save the performance.

I wonder if anyone would choose the dxr over the clr if price wasn't an issue?
Hmm... frankly speaking, if price wasn't an issue at all I assume one would go for the absolute best which is the CLR IMO.
But sometimes it's not only about the price though but simply convenience.
I own one DXR 10 and two CLR's.
Most of the time I choose the DXR for gigs as I like its smaller footprint. -
Ok here's Yngwie...:)
Sorry to be late. The MS-70CDR only has modulation, delay and reverb models.
Therefore: I use it in the loop. (and only sometimes when I feel like it and need Special FX)
I also have a MS-50G as a backup for the profiler (which has compressors and distortion).
Haven't felt the need to try it in front of the KPA yet. -
Last official word on this was 'not before Q1/2014’.
