If this is an often used combination and gives the guitar a certain versatility and nice textures that you personally wish for it will be no problem. It's in the nature of pickups that some drive an amp harder than others. It's normal. The same with the KPA.
You should set clean sense with your strongest pickup, and everything else will be in relativity to that.

I also think the FCB controller will definitely come.
But as a FCB owner I will use the KPA eprom first for sure. -

Yes, I think in a few weeks time these could be available. (pure speculation on my side...)

Haha, that,s great! I Love the SQUEEZE reference!!!
I'm that huge of a Squeeze Fan that I already flew to London twice to see them live!
Awesome!

Looking forward to the profile. Another AC30- like flavour.

Summary is simple:
Down row is 5 amps, when in performance mode it's the 5 slots of a performance. (You can switch banks, each bank contains 5 amps).
Upper row switch 10 is for the tap tempo, 6-9 are freely assignable to the FX slots. I understood 9 is also additionally assigned to the tuner.
This is easily done with a learn mode where you only press a switch on the FCB longer, then press an FX switch on the KPA and the assignment is done. All in all this will be an awesome controller, guys!

To everybody who is interested but not on the newsletter list:
I just got an E-Mail from Xavier about th Kemper-FCB:
Hi all,
you have been waiting for some time now without any update about this new Kemper-FCB firmware. This doesn't mean we didn't continue working on it, on the contrary! I just uploaded a very-bad-quality webcam recording, showing the current status of the firmware. Actually, we are pretty close to an official release right now. Very soon I will send a few firmware EPROMs to the Kemper guys for final validation. After that, you will get a notification about the official release. In the mean time I will start adding some ordering details on our website, and I will have to write some documentation too. Although it looks like the FCB-Kemper floorboard is really straightforward to use and configure. I think the manual shouldn't be bigger than just a few pages...
Thanks for your patience, and have a glimpse at the current status here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-XLDoL-N90
best regards,

Wth the release of the powered head I've been hearing people wanting to sell their original Kempers to upgrade to a powered head.
What is the advantage to using a powered head with a non powered monitor vs. a non powered head and a powed monitor?Wouldn't they be essentially the same thing?
Thanks
Essentially they're the same, yes.
The powered head is more aimed at the guitar cab guys who like to plug a head into a cab and are done.Of course you can also plug the powered head into a passive monitor.
To me, going active FRFR, the non powered head is still the best option.EDIT:
Aw I'm a late responder today... -
Just curious, did any of you actually read Tony's review to see what the fuss was about?)
I did, and to me it was informative in that I hadn't heard of the Mark Multiamp before. Not more, not less.
I knew about the old controversy with FAS and of course realized the little shooting at Fractal during the review but frankly couldn't care less.

I turned up the distortion sense and this dramatically increased my sustainHmm... To my understanding, per design of the KPA, this CANNOT increase sustain with clean sounds (per the original post)
It only bring's up the gain. -
Sorry to be so dim but how do you assign an eq to your midi floor pedal
With the KPA CC's are assigned to slots, not to FX.
The correct CC assignment depends in which slot you put the EQ. -
Yes, sorry pack 4 is the latest one. Davide is right.
Here you are (look under rig packs)
-
Yeah, only teasing...
Where's the link? -
I can't believe that we keep on debating this.
Zentman came in and explained himself, and thanks for that.
BTW his explanation is exactly how I perceived the thread over there at TGP (where I'm only lurking) albeit I still think it went over the top in general.
But I don't see any malignity at all.
So it's all good now (it should be!!!) and no reason at all to get into another heated argument.Have a nice weekend everybody!

AFAIK, and this is the same with the storing of FX settings, you always store another whole new setting. You should name them accordingly or delete the older ones.

Way over the top. Again.

Hi Robman: I cant find those "TAF" -marked profiles from rig exchange, where are they from?
Thanks,
-OlliThese are in Rig Pack 4 from the Kemper website (Downloads), not the specific rig exchange site.

sorry, double post
