Yamaha DXR 10 seems to be a perfect fit for the KPA, looking at the enthusiastic user's reviews here.

I would suggest you log the issue with support. This is absolutely NOT the way it should work.....
Was anything different in the setup at Gig? Specifically pedalboard/ volume pedals?

To be very objective I must admit that S-gear is by far the best plug-in available (as you all know I do NOT play heavy stuff)....but honestly not to be compared with the Kemper. I actually did a few profiles of the Dumble-ish sim in s-gear and they sounded better in the KPA (Cab), but I deleted them after tweaking the Fux, Dumble, Two-Rock and Van Weldeen profiles....

... Of course you'll have your (real) pre in front of the stomps
Not if you do it the other way around:
Guitar>KPA input
KPA send (Loop in D or X)>Amp input
Amp send>KPA Return
KPA Monitor out>Amp returndone!

I'm sure you know, but as a turnaround you can run a backup and extract the performances. If you then put them in the shared folder you can import them. Not as direct as you suggest but a working way for now..

???? You did stored the Rig (not the FX only) but you lost the settings?
Did the first version stored correctly or it does not save the user scale at all? -
The release is absolutely stable, the 2.2 is a public beta and if you install it is your choice, knowing that it could still have some issue. Do not install a Beta if you do not have the time to revert to Release and/or restore a backup if something goes wrong.

My powerrack that it's not going to happen
+1. It's a clear company policy to let nothing leak 'till it comes out. -
Just uncheck the "monitor out cab off" case in the main menu and connect a passive FRFR cab (Matrix makes a great one) to the monitor out, the mains remains free for FOH

Something is not right...could you PM me that Rig? I have the green scream or a boost in front of every clean Rig and have no volume issues. LP here.

out of the midi controller, nothing.

Just a question: assuming to have the necessary skills, how much does it cost in materials and time to put together something like this?
BTW: GREAT JOB! -
You'll need either to restore the Factory presets or download the Factory content, put in the shared folder the content that you want (that avoids replicating the factory rigs) and run an import. Updating FW alone doesn't load presets

I assume you play jazz...with an Archtop....
Joke apart it has not yet show up here. -
Right, but the midi controller is normally set up for Live use. If you browse through rigs you do it at home. BTW my pedalboard incorporates a midi controller AND 2 dual switches (DIY) and is extremely compact and flexible.

Chandler Tube Driver, ODC, Zendrive....
-
You can do it with a double switch, non latching (temporary) connected with a TRS cable to the FS plug in the back

The Monitor out used to default +12db (IIRC), though I've been a while out of the loop and I'm not sure whether it is still the case. Just adjust accordingly.
