I'm programming mine as we speak.
use this like it explanes nicly.
Program FCB1010It's working for me.

I was going to say that on TGP but you know what that would do.

Looks good kilihahn, I like the layout. The only thing I didn't like about the C2 was the control switch was to close to the tuner. Sometimes when I went for a solo i'd hit the tuner. That sucks!!!
Anyway lookin' good

Welcome Elantric,
I'm in my mid 50's also. I play in a classic to modern rock band. Never to old -
The foot controller for the GSP1101 is the best I've ever used. The lay out is awesome. The control switch is great you can assign as many parimeters as you want.

If anyones interested I up'd a Mesa 22.Cal I profiled from my GSP. First time profiling. It was fun. Refined it 1 time. Sounded very close to me.

Thanks for sharing. Will check it out tonight.

Here are my main reasons why I don't use the KPA live, and probably won't any time soon, It will just be a studio tool because of it's realistic amp profiling.
1- Can't trust the program change assignments on the KPA a few times it has crashed while assigning and lost them, can't have something like that, sometimes I need to change things at last minute at sound check, and not going to take that chance. also when changing patches sometimes there is a clicking noise thru the PA.
2- Missing some effects I need, like the harmonizer, for a couple songs and the whammy.
3- Need the Violin sound from the Axe II + a Flute sound for a couple songs, using the internal synth.
4-All my gear including Axe II, power conditioner+ In Ear System and Wireless all fit in my 4 space rack, all plugged in and ready to just plug power cable and 2 XLR's to FOH, transporting and trying to incorporate the KPA in this set up won't be easy, while keeping it small.I use mine live (2 great gigs so far). If I didn't trust a piece of equipment it would be gone quick!
How does the violin and flute in the axe sound? Realistic I bet
YMMV I know mine does.

Just throwing this out there. I've been looking for a foot controller for the KPA and I have a Control 2. This is the best foot controller I've ever had, it just works great. I think this is a midi controller with an RJ45 plug for power.
Does anyone think this can be converted to use a regular midi cable? If anyone has a thought on this let-r-rip.

Well said Radley.
Hopefully it does keep getting better -
Yes I thinks it's funny that someone with a KPA posts a mp3 and it's not good enough for them. But they post a crappy clip from a youtube vid and it's awesome. Go figure.
-
Wow the axefx can now match a 64k youtube clip.

I put the smiley in there to denote jest and wasn't necessarily serial.
So your the serial guy

I liked number 2the best.

Christoff - I am trying to be helpful. I am very impressed that the KPA can copy my show-tested presets from another modeler so well - it is a very handy function indeed! I profiled 3 more of my amps yesterday, and it's getting better and better. (I guess I still don't understand why my requests for thread deletion have not been honored - they were not posted to create a 'kerfuffle'!)
"Kerfuffle" now thats funny

I have several really good clean RIGs by changing the speaker.
I use Tills Recto 2x12 (2) a lot and it could change a bad RIG to a very good one.
It is strange though that some rigs do not at all improve by using the Tills -instead it could sound worse and compressed.
Try the Tills on every RIG you are about to delete and you will find some really good ones.
MikeWill do thanks

I guess i'll have use the lock function. I have not used it yet. Thanks

Tim, welcome to the forum.
I find this nagging KPA vs. Axe totally unnecessary.
Personally, I have made my mind up and so should everybody else.
And in between and afterwards, no reason to go after each other.
It's just gear.Your right Doc, I could have bought a Axefx. I almost did then I heard about the KPA. So I waited and waited and... Anyway it came out. I heard all the clips then walla here it is. And I have no regrets.

Given the sheer number of profiles out there and the amount of metadata stored in a profile. Some tools to organize things would be helpful.
The number one thing for me would be to have folders for rigs/cabs. This would allow me to oranize things in a way that makes sense to me. And allow me to delete a whole folder at a time. This way I could load up a USB drive with a bunch of profiles and load them into an "incoming" folder. As I weed through the ones I like I could move them to other folders. Then I can just delete the "incoming" folder and only have the stuff I want.
Next would be a PC/Mac tool to edit the metadata in the profiles - names/mic/cab/channel/etc - and allow me to arrange the folders using Finder/Explorer. The Kemper input method is OK but like every other modeler it's very cumbersome to do a lot of name tweaking. I'm not yet familiar with the backup/restore process so I don't know how doable this is.
Some good ideas hippietim,I'm working on an editor to orgainize the files and load them into the USB drive. I have way to many profiles. Some good some bad.
