they're just waiting until this thread will be 60 pages of worthless hope, so keep 'em coming...

usually the ikey audio m808 v2 and yamaha hs 80m pop up quickly in these threads:
have fun!

diezels do most of the voicing in the preamp, their poweramp is one of the more linear ones out there, you might get lucky and be pretty stoked...

thanks, yeah the monkey temple is always fun, but most of the time i was lost somewhere in the mountains... : )
you're right there really is a nice music scene there growing and growing over the years. - and it's nice to be in a place where guitar-playing ist still appreciated -
he's not living near hotel vajra / swayambhunath by any chance? : ) i met a pretty talented young boy there some weeks ago... have fun there anyways!

ok, it's been a while that i felt like adding profiles to my collection. it's also been a while that i felt like paying for them. i bought lot's of the (mostly vintage) profiles out there and found enough that i like. today i felt experimental enough and bought till's new pack. holy moly! for contemporary distorted guitar tones this better than anything else i've tried. period. not trying to be fancy, just great sound. great variety but with consistency. subtle changes instead of huge jumps in character... absolutely recommended! thanks till!

if i'm not mistaken, the op is about which cab the cabdriver assumes when optimizing the cab portion of a profile for the use through a dedicated guitar cabinet ( NOT frfr ! ). as i remember ist was said that they opted for a 4x12 marshall v30 -partly because it's a usual suspect to be found in every single rehearsal space / studio on the planet.
-
i remember reading some time ago that the cabdriver thinks you're using a 4x12 marshall with V30's...
-
thanks! makes sense...

i'd be interested on what you're doing with the usb-port...
-
and if you're not only into metal, don't forget about the soundside profiles. that's what i use the most these days. and own ones of course, that are hidden in the rig-exchange...
-
since the (endless and well legitimate) debate over the best amplification method wouldn't help to design a combo, i'd prefer an integrated pedalboard-style kemper-thingy for (even more) easy travelling...

but as they say: hearing is believing! i would like to test them with my KPA!is it possible to check those speakers out somewhere in germany? thomann? ingolf lives far away in the northern part of germany.can someone post sound files? i am really interested!
geraldo, i have one here in munich (the active cab version). it's not bad at all. replaced my rcf tt 25 sma, which is a pretty good pretty damn expensive monitor. pm me if you want to set up a meeting. mondays work best.
-
yeah, i loved that amp a lot, just sold it a bit too quickly after getting the kpa, it was a direct profile, without cab, just pasted one of till's cabs (the ones to go at the time...) and found it good enough to sell the amp. now i feel i should have waited a bit longer and fool around a bit more, since i got nice results with my audio amp co deluxe clone in a studio recently... still, give it a try, and be sure to try out some other cabs as well, my favourite these days comes from armins latest plexi-packs...

+1. please...

fwiw: i have the clr active cab for a few weeks now and concluded to keep it. it sounds pretty good for the money & it's loud enough for me... i sold my RCF TT25-SMA used, so with one clr i have about 1.000€ left for booze...

a wise man.
