Dream come true !
Seems like someone has heard our prayers!
This is what Kemper posted today on Facebook:

We have redesigned the Kemper Logo and created a new location for it ...
Looks like a 2U Rack KPA coming up for the Namm Show !!!!!!!
I FEEEL SOOOO HAPPYYYYYYY
I was working with a metal workshop on a custom foot controller for me. And now that I've read this KPA-rackear idea, this will be definetely the next task. The drawing is done and now we're talking bout the material and the finish. I'll keep you up to date if something useful is on the horizon
WOW, now we've reached more than 200 votes. Keep going dudes!
And, it seems the amount of guys who like the original KPA is dropping below 50% (at 100 votes they were more than 60%)
I love the Kemper design - and now in a rack
The recognition of the form factor is preserved. 3 Allen screws to each side and sits tight in the rack. This could be a supplement (Zubehör) product of Kemper!
labrat
PS: The "ears" on both sides offer enough real estate for a stereo light show
Very good Idea, an simple too !
... It could provide space for some wireless antenna's
DEAR SANTA .... !!!!
Small pedal w/no profiling ability... a profile player! All you'd have to take to the gig is your pedalboard, and you'd still be able to download profiles from the site. And face it: most people don't make many profiles of their own.
Like me ....
I've never profiled something, just need 3 or 4 good Sounds and all the effects!
And even if they'd sell it for the same price or more, it would worth it
160 votes and growing
now the original kemper has only about 53% of the votes (it was 60% at 100 votes)
not really representative after 160 votes but maybe a trend?
keep going guys and spread the word, so we can maybe see a better enclosure soon
(is it obvious that I don't like the current housing? )
+1!!
Battery power, like the Stageclixx and so - that would be delicious!
(although it sounds a bit like science fiction ... )
wow, that's a whole new idea here! And that's what I'm always curious about ... energy!
I measured the KPA, it needs about 17 Watts.
this means, 10 Ultrafire Li-Ion Batteries (4000mAh x 10 x 3,7V = 148Wh) could take you through the night and would weight about 450g!
I'd like that!
Would that stable enough for an angled rack like this?

Cheers,

... I think so, here is my solution, it is bullet proof...
this case is flying around a lot in the truck
any idea what I was voting for ?

maybe it works with the Apogee GIO board, then we'll already have a great controller
Is only 3,5 kg, make sure the tray is 2mm thick and it will not move.
ummm ... not exactly

first, thank you so much for taking part of this discussion!
for me there are a few important questions that I have to ask myself as a manufacturer
-how much space do I need for the electronics
-how can I pack these electronics in a smallest possible and most convenient package
The reason is simple. Pro devices never make problems,
they don't need extra cases, space or your precious time to think how to carry them around! Set and forget! Make music!
One example .... RME Fireface UFX
a 60 Channel, sound interface, digital mixer with dynamics/effects and a 60 channel digital recorder.
I think such devices has to be touched during everyday work much more often than a guitar effects unit, where you set your sound, make a few changes and play most of the time. The Fireface needs one Rackspace and can be fully controlled via a Software GUI or even the device itself!
Thats pro thinking for me and thats why I'd love to see an one rackspace KPA unit one day
Interesting that almost 50% of the voters want a rack format.
OTOH, guys, there must be something terribly wrong here... the poll reads that 101 votes have been submitted, but the voters (summing the fractions) sum up to 127 (23:56 Rome time). And, the sum of the fractional percentages is 127 as well...
I guess the system allows for multiple voting but counts each person as one, no matter how choices they have made. Not really scientific, I'd say...
... of course I've activated multiple voting, nothing wrong here, up to three different votes possible, ceep cool
ie. I would buy one for the studio, one for the live rack and one for my Gigbag
(hoping Mr. Kemper is reading this and wants to sell me more devices)
Now that we have 100 votes for the KPA form factor, there is one thing the Kemper headquarter should think of.
More than 40% of the votes are going to another form factor than the existing one, even though the voters haven't seen or touched another one!
I'm really curious if we'll get more votes, maybe up to 1000 or more ? That would be more representative.
I'm sorry guys but I can't stop myself from dreamin'

kemper stompbox/loader, throw it in your gigbag and your sound is with you!
come on, who will photoshop us a nice rackversion?!
BTW - Heres one of mine that I designed

crazyyy stuff dude !!!
yeah but how you would you get access to all the features of the missing buttons the amp the cab , the stomps etc?
thx 4 yr question!
on the main screen the page buttons have no function, on this unit they will
go to the next 3 pages (stomps, stack, effects) and use the function buttons above the display to activate/edit the section you want
once you've gone one page further (than the main screen) you can use the cursor buttons too, as you see it's not only a rig cursor anymore
I'd vote for a 2 rack space, but with as many knobs etc as it has, I think it's possible to do if properly designed.
of course that would be the ultimate goal, not too small, not too big and with full functionality
