So, I'm loving on a pack from Top Jimi. His brown sound pack is great. It does the variac'd super lead. So, I'd like to do this technique to say a profile of a hotter amp. Example would be to variac a 5150 MKI and give some better dynamics and tube squish. Like sending it off to a specialist and having them create a negative feedback mod, or installing a variac control. Is adding a tube voltage knob into the interface a silly idea? Or, can this be simply done with tube sag and tube hardness? I'm a previous Axe-FX user, and I was total tube tweaker! hahaha. It was crack for rack-amp-ophiles.

Any tube experts know about this? What did Eddie do to those Super Lead amps? How would you sculpt a preset to get that warmer tone, less gain, but still very powerful.

It be cool to have a Tube voltage/ Virtual Variac control for the amp block parameters. I'm always looking to take a hot rod amp, and give it that voltage drop effect.

Welcome dude. I feel your pain!

Sweet. Ya. I use Adobe Illustrator. I could use those vectors! Awesome axe!
Welcome to the gang!
Yeah the JPM design is very nice. So nice, that back then, in my teens, I made set of vector images made in Corel Draw and I changed my old Ibanez RG to JPM P1 look. Now I have Ibanez RG7 620 stickered to JPM P2.I can share the graphics file, if anyone is interested. In fact I already shared it on some Petrucci forum, buf I am sure that it is now unavailable. The Sevenstring Ibanez looks like this:

I came from the shred life. The JP Picasso guitar represents the spark of my passion from DT's Images and Words album. I hop around in guitars a bunch. But the JP guitar is just cool looking.

Yes, so I'm a former Axe-FX user. I loved it, I got really good at controlling the unit. I had dudes paying me for the presets I was making. But, it just got to a point to which It always sounded like a compressed produced record. So I sold it and picked up the Kemper, and honestly....I have not looked back. I may not have the same modeling control, but.... I'm loving the fact that I'm getting to know real people, with real amps! Thanks Mr. Kemper!

I tried it on a POD HD500X. Set it up in exp 2 jack. Assigned it to EXP 2. Nothing. So ya...looks like I have a dead EV-5.

Here a quick video of the screen. https://youtu.be/YDpN4KIL8Rk
It's doing the same issue on the morph function. I did try also setting the expression value wheel to min and max prior to connecting the pedal. -
I saw a video with Wayne Charvel playing a modded JMP-1 from Voodoo lab. Sounded sweet. Check it out.https://youtu.be/ixyUO79Eaew
I say, make it play like it was modded. But.... It's just cool to say it's tweaked. I'm sure the stock it still pretty cool. -
It's my first attempt at connecting the pedal. It's moving from 0-10 on its own. Like a infinite cycle. I have it assigned to Morph. It's also on type 1.

Today, I updated to OS 4. Connected the Roland EV-5 expression pedal. Went to System>Pedal 1> and tried to calibrate the EV-5 pedal. I can't get it to control the value for anything. It's cycling from 0-10 over and over. Any thoughts? I wanted to try out some morphing demos. Bummer it did this.

Michael,
Dude I love your work. Can't wait to try the Sold88 rack. Nobody is doing this. Thank you so much. Do you have plans for the hot rodded JMP-1?
