Is it possible that this low-cut filter is implemented in order to reduce aliasing? Just a random thought.
You should try a very old firmware that still had significant amount of aliasing. Maybe the low end response there is flatter.

I usually just wait a little Humans like us are really very bad at objectively evaluating sounds. I usually keep profiles that I like... lets say 4 times out of 5 tries.

Instant favorites. Thanks very much for sharing.

Slate plugins are really good.
Previously I was under the impression that they are all about user interface aesthetics... but it turns out that they are some of the best plugins I have ever used. I really dig their low latency as well, so I'm able to jam alog with several of their plugins activated. Cool stuff. -
Really nice profiles, thank you!

Thanks Jen! This profile earned a place on my KPA Great tones.

Have you tried DB's DrZ Rt66 profiles on the Rig Exchange?
They are really good. I especially like the profiles made with the Audix i5 microphone. -
The NewYorker profile is fantastic (also try enabling the compressor and the stomp), really versatile.
The AD30 is also worth checking out. -
Sounds great!
Maybe try to rename the profile, and upload it that way. I'm not sure RM can handle profiles with identical names. -
Thanks for sharing man! What a wonderful Marshall sound.
It's on the Rig Exchange, check it out! -
I agree, it is a very bad implementation.
I have voiced my thoughts during closed beta, so they are aware of the concerns and possible fixes. -
Maybe you could try to make some traditional studio profiles with a microphone?
The current ones are a bit to harsh for my taste. But I'm using headphones and studio monitors, so completely different setup than yours. -
Oh baby, that is a nice one.
Can't wait to try it. Thanks very much for sharing it! -
Thanks! Found some great ones there.

This is just the way it is. Illegal distribution of anything that is not strictly hardware-based won't go away ever. This is due to human nature and limited financial resources... Sellers should calculate the effect of this into their business plan. I'm pretty sure they do and it is still worth it for them. Maybe provide a lot of fast updates to existing profiles... or something similar to overcome illegal distribution.
And really no offense to commercial sellers (I bought a lot of stuff and like some of it) but IMO they are for the most part only riding the waves of Mr. Kemper and his team. I think they should be grateful for any money they can make out of this and not whine all over the forum about the discovery that illegal distribution exists. It only generates more publicity, and presumably will further decrease their sales. And I know, I know, there are probably a lot of thinking and effort, time, money, whatever that went into making the profiles... but its simple: if it is not worth it for you in the end, don't do it.
-
Do you think the Kemper could capture the sounds properly? Did you hear a noticable difference? If not, that is a compliment to both units I think.

+1
Also snapshot management via RM would also be cool.

I have zero interest in buying one of these, but I have to tell you... this looks great! Good job!
