Could it be a stereo thing?
The headphone out on the KPA is basically two channels panned 100% to each side giving You a full stereo image.
Check the mix in the scarlett control panel, if You are getting two channels from the KPA, the default pan on each channels monitor mix in the scarlett should be in the center, giving You a complete mono sound unless You adjust the pan on those channels.

My experience with "FRFR" is that they all color the sound in their own way, no speaker (within reasonable price) is really 'flat'.
And I do find that esp. speakers on the cheaper side of the spectra tries to 'hype' the top and the low end in a way that the important (for us guitarists) midrange often suffers.
And this has nothing to do with the KPA or any other modeler, a mic'ed up amp will still sound brittle at the top, week in the midrange and flabby in the low end when put through a budget FRFR.
I'm very impressed with the DXR10 just because how it handles the midrange and the top end.
I have not yet used it on stage but I does sound great at rehearsals and I don't feel I'm lacking anything comparing that to my H&K half-stack, YMMV.

    I got the XTC, Soldano, JTM 45 & 800.
The XTC and Solano were just amazing, as I expected from all the demos.
And the JTM were a nice surprise, nice fat cleans, nice crunch (add a bit gain and it's instant Angus), and boosted it gives a nice creamy lead tone. Very versatile indeed.
I didn't bond with the 800 on the first try, it's probably me... I'll give it some more time.

In all, very nice and dynamic profiles. Responds to pick nuances, guitar volume and pickups extremely well.

Yup, I think You hit the head on the nail Sam.
If we think about it, delay and reverb are quite different fx from the rest on the KPA. Since they are able to keep on processing the sound even after then have been turned of or changed to a new preset. (spillover!)
My guess it that this is why they have their dedicated slots, and to place a delay or reverb in ANY slot with the same features requires a total overhaul of the fx subsystem.
And when you're doing that You are faced with big decisions: How far can we go? How much will it cost (in KPA resources)? How do You implement it so it will be usable for a non engineer? Backwards compatibility? And so on...

I'm in the same situation Perti, I have a ticket open with the support and we are trying to find out what's going on...
Have You reported this to the support?
If not, please do, they may need all info they can get to nail this problem...

I have the DXR10 and are very satisfied. I have personally not tried the DXR12, but others here have and I think the consensus is that it's not as good as the 8",10" and even the 15" due to a slightly boxy sound character.

I had this problem as well.
I solved it by uninstalling and reinstalling RM.
The folder structure remains untouched BTW.

I have the same problem as Perti and I did a clean re-install of the latest RM but it still wont launch...
Been without my favourite profiles and no way to audition new ones for weeks now... and I'm not going back to the old USB stick... yet.
I just hope that we get a fixed RM from the mothership soon.

My guess is that for absolute best result You should make Your direct and studio profile at the same session, with the same settings.
Think of it this way, the cab You are trying to merge with Your direct profile have a sound that were dictated by how the amp were set at that time and how hard it was pushed.
So I guess on the second profiling session, the amp were set closer to how it was when the original session were done.

I guess that the stack trace actually refers to another issue that the one that silently shuts down the app and update the XML files?
To me it looks like something GUI related rather than some network problem that might be the initial problem.

Is there something more I could try?

I feel a bit stuck without the RM... shows how important it has become for the full KPA experience!

Hmm... that didn't work for me unfortunately...

After starting up for the first time and entering my RE credentials the RM crashes hard, getting a stack dump this time!
And after that, it just shuts down silently every time...

    Hi,

I was using my KPA yesterday and were browsing thought the Rig Exchange using RM when I noticed that the latest rigs display were a couple of weeks old.
So I shutdown RM and tried to restart it again to force it to refresh the Rig Exchange contents... like You do...

But now the main windows just barely flash onto the screen before the app closes down.

No crash or any other messages in the console and the only thing I can find is that the two files, RigExchangePriv.xml & RigExchange.xml in the RigManager folder, updates their modification dates and now contains the following:

    HTML
    <html><body><table align="center" style="width: 100%; height: 100%;"><tr><td align="center">Database is overloaded at the moment<br /><img src="/images/scheduled-maintenance.jpg" alt="scheduled mainenance" /></td></tr></table></body></html>

This started Yesterday, so I thought that maybe it was a temporary problem, but trying several times today gives the same result... :(

    In running RM 1.5.20 & OSX 10.11.1.

Any ideas to get it up and running again?

LOL! I just saw 'Corn' in the name and my brain just made the Cornford association, although in RM the full name is there in plain sight... 8|

Now I see why it were no corn flawor in these rigs... :P

I noticed that even on the higher gain rigs the amp definitions were unusually low, I'm used to have to dampen it a bit, but here I often had to increase it instead...
Is it due to new profiling methods?

Ok, got sometime with the profiles yesterday and I must say they are great overall. I have bought a lot of Andys profiles before and I must say that these feels a bit rawer (in a good way).
And on the whole it feels like Andy have stepped up a notch in his profiling technique, I had to less tweaking to get most of these profiles sounding great (to my ears).
Both the 800 and the DS sounded great, I didn't really recognise the Soldano sound in most of it's profiles but some had that creamy, smooth singing lead tone.
The WEM and the TK offered a slightly different palette of sounds and I have to investigate them a bit more. The Cornford were the least impressive to me I must say, no matter how I tweaked I never got excited by the result... IMHO.

Thanks Andy for these great profiles, I bet a few of them will find their way into my favourites folder.
