I started this thread in regards to lag with the behringer. Still have lag issues, no one from the top has bothered with any answers, which makes me think they have no answers and are hoping I stop asking about it. Brand new, latest firmware, latest uno chip. Stock rigs. Garage band with a foot controller is probably more consistent and trouble free than this. Not to mention a hell of a lot cheaper. How did Kemper miss this?? Maybe Axe is the way to go really. Id be stoked to see this resolved asap, cos this rig is not stage ready.

I still have the lag. It is really annoying, especially since when I use the pedal with an axe fx, there is no such problem. It must be something to do with the kemper?

I was keen to use the kemper on tours, especially some of the bigger international tours I have coming up, and it seems that such a small glitch like this can waste not only thousands of dollars worth of gear, but time, and ultimately consistency especially on stage. I gotta say, pretty un happy about it.

Maybe one of the moderators can shed some light on this.

I have tried it all, its not on omni, I have the latest chip, brand new cables, hardly any rigs, and the profiler is pretty much brand new.

So Im pretty sure my other thread got this thread happening.

So first problem I ran into via the midiox solution is that midiox is not for mac. I have a mac operating system, so what software do i use in this situation to get the midi message readout?

My FCB has the latest uno chip, and I use FCBunocontrolcenter (which is actually a really easy to use program) which brings the pedal on screen to edit the pedalboard setup. As far as I know each switch only has 1 midi message happening. So on the FCB control panel, it will read "00" bank and then 1-5 are different rigs I have on the Kemper. 6-9 are my stompboxes, 10 is my tap tempo and then the wah and the volume pedals. It is worth noting that the stompbox effects seem to be an immediate change, it just seems to be the rigs, that have that split second delay happening. This is problematic in soloing situations or when I need to change to a clean rig at a very certain point in a song, so it is frustrating and its been a real PITA to fix thus far. And I only have stock rigs on the KPA, it is less than a month old, and the pedalboard is brand new.

On the Kemper side of things, I have midi global channel set to Omni (it worked fine on channel 1 aswell) and then to assign each rig to a pedal (as in each rig from the kpa to one of the rig change pedals 1-5 on the fcb) I went to browse mode prgchg and assigned my clean rig to prgchg#1, then my crunch to prgchg#2, etc.

I also notice that in tuner mode, the pedalboard will not respond to any changes, but I assume this is because the kpa doesnt have access to the rig library from this mode?

This is how I set my assignments up anyway, so maybe I did something wrong in this chain of procedures?

Anyway, thanks for all the help, Im sure we'll get to the cause soon enough!

    Hi All,

After a mission figuring out how to get the KPA going with the behringer fcb1010, I finally managed to get it working (Latest uno chip installed). One thing however I am noticing, is lag whenever I change channels.

Should this be happening>? Its significant enough that I have to time my channel changes about half a second before I want the channel to actually change.

If someone could shed some light on this I would be very grateful!

    Thanks !

    Hi,

Recently bought a Kemper, and a behringer FCB 1010 pedal. I am a complete MIDI noob. I am looking for an easy way to program the pedal. Can someone please give me the easiest and most noob proof instructions on how to get this happening, it's ridiculously frustrating.

I really dont want to have to purchase even more stuff to get this pedal programmed. Im sensing Im going to have to buy a Computer MIDI port or something, but I want to avoid this.

All I want is 5 seperate rigs on the bottom row, effects on the top row, volume and a tap tempo.

Please help me. And really spell it out for me, because I am struggling. Didn't think playing guitar was going to be this difficult. :cursing:

    Cheers.

So I bought the Behringer, and the UNO chip is on it's way.

Before I stuff it up, how do I program the pedal properly? I heard about using a program called ripwerx but I use a mac, and apparently not compatible. Can anyone clarify this?

So for someone in my position (limited midi knowledge / Keen live guitarist) How do i get this up and running as easily and quickly as possible? I someone can point me in the direction of an easy guide to this, I would be very grateful. Did a search, and couldnt find anything relevant to this.

    Thanks for all your help

Mulyadi - Mate I'm in Sydney at the moment, but spend about 6 months of the year on tour! So Sydney for the next week before Im off again!

    Thanks for the quick replies.

Re: the UNO chip, it's not the expense; in fact it's probably by far the most cost effecttive solution. Its just a hassle, to have to order, wait for it, pull the behringer apart, replace the chip, etc. I would just rather buy a unit that is ready to go if it's somewhere around the same price.

The raider sounds good I might check that out. So far the behringer seems to be the winner though.

Just to clarify also; the behringer would just be a midi controller, and doesnt have any additional presets? And the raider does have additional preset effects, etc? Is that why it's a fair bit more?

    Cheers for the help!

    Hi,

After a recent tour and recording in the US, I came back home to Australia and bought a KPA. I've had it for a day, and I'm loving it so far.

One thing I havent been able to find too much information on is using a foot controller for live playing. Its a shame that the KPA doesn't come with a footswitch of some sort, so what is the best foot controller to use with the KPA?

Is there an actual recommended product that works best with the KPA without having to alter it (referring to the behringer fcb 1010 and the need for a UNO chip) because I really need to be able to control the rig with my feet.

Obviously looking for something on the cheap side considering I've just forked out all this cash on the KPA!

And if it comes down to the behringer, how hard is it to program settings to?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Cheers.
