    So small update:

I'm getting the reamped tone through my monitors but it's not going into PT11.

Reamping used to work...no idea why it's not doing it now!

Here's a screenshot of PT, the I/O and my Presonus' Universal Control. Both the Main and SPDIF have the same settings in Universal Control.

Thanks in advance, really need to get my Kemper reamping again! :)

    Hi guys,

I'm having some trouble reamping with my Kemper, my PreSonus FireStudio Mobile and Pro Tools 11.

It worked before and now it isn't...

    Kemper:

    SPDIF Input Reamp set.

Kemper Output Settings: Main Output: Master Stereo | Monitor Output: Master Mono | Direct Output: Git Analog | SPDIF Output: Git/Stack

SPDIF Connections: SPDIF Out -> PreSonus SPDIF In | SPDIF In -> PreSonus SPDIF Out

    *Constant Latency selected*

Any ideas on what to do?

I've trawled the forum and nothing is helping /:

    Hi peeps,

I recently updated to FW 2.6 and when I'm scrolling through my profiles I find it's a slow and tedious process, so I use the up and down buttons to quickly scroll through whatever criteria I'm using [Name, Author, Date etc]

However, out of the blue, instead of down taking me to the letter Z, it's now taking me to the letter A.

Up is doing the opposite, taking me to the letter Z, instead of the letter A.

Does anyone know what's up with this or have I accidentally pressed something I shouldn't have pressed...

    Cheers! :D

    SOLUTION

Here are the steps required to use the Kemper for Reamping with the PreSonus FireStudio Mobile and Pro Tools:

In Universal Control you must enable the Main and SPDIF outputs to allow for the reamping to work. I also suggest muting the channels I have to prevent a piercing shriek from getting sent through your monitors/headphones etc

Make sure you choose the clock source as SPDIF otherwise you will experience artifacts being created in your audio!

In Pro Tools you need to create a mono audio track [ReAmp Trck] with SPDIF L chosen as the input and pan it hard right.

Solo the channel you want to reamp [along with the reamp track] and pan it hard left.

    Arm the track and record!

Here is an image showing the process:

Hi Ingolf, I've tried looking for some tutorials to help me reamp with the kemper but can't find anything specific to my setup.

I wasn't really expecting there to be any either haha

Are you able to point me in the right direction of what to do now?

I've set UC and my PreSonus to SPDIF, which I assume allows it to be the slave?

Here's a screenshot of my current setup along with Pro Tools.

If you could help me with my routing within PT that would be awesome! :D

I know this is a topic that's VERY subjective since everyone has different setups but I'm gonna go ahead and ask anyway! It might shed some light for others with small setups like myself or fellow PreSonus users etc

I believe my connections to be correct as I've been following the Kemper Reamp Tutorial by Nakedzen on YouTube [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6S40buL97cY] however I may have done something wrong [I can't help it guys, I'm new to this kinda stuff!]

The main issue I THINK I'm having is my routing in Pro Tools OR something to do with SPDIF and my FireStudio Mobile, I'll list my settings first to see if I'm doing anything wrong there!

    Kemper

Kemper left output to PreSonus XLR input

SPDIF Input Reamp selected [different to YT video due to version differences]

Kemper Output Settings: Master Stereo Main Output | Master Mono Monitor Output | Git Analog Direct Output | Master Stereo SPDIF Output

SPDIF Connections: SPDIF Out -> PreSonus SPDIF In | SPDIF In -> PreSonus SPDIF Out

    Constant Latency selected

    PreSonus Fire Studio Mobile

Next up is PreSonus' Universal Control program. I usually keep the main outputs muted to prevent latency when in Pro Tools. I can change the clock course allowing the SPDIF to be the clock source [see picture] however I usually leave the FS Mobile as the master [this may be one thing I'm doing wrong...]

When I activate the main outs I hear small crackles coming through the SPDIF I\O when it's connected which makes me think that the FS Mobile IS receiving a signal from the Kemper, the SPDIF crackles also occur when muted, you just don't hear the crackles [see picture ]

    Pro Tools 11

In Pro Tools one thing I am having trouble with is the SPDIF I/O, purely because I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT I AM SUPPOSED TO DO.

The FS Mobile is selected as the playback engine.

In the I/O Setup I have Mic 1-2 followed by Line 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and SPDIF L/R in the Input [see image]

In the Output I have Daw 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6 available [see image]

Should there be a SPDIF option there?

Finally there's the routing of my tracks in Pro Tools, these have been left blank as I reset them for the purposes of this thread [see picture]

If anyone would be able to help me resolve this that would be awesome! :D

    I can't wait to get reamping :)

    Hello guys and gals!

Just introducing myself to this forum since there's a place for it :P

I've been on a quest for tone for almost 10 years now and the Kemper has definitely been the thing that's helped me achieve this!

Like a lot of others I originally got a Line 6 Pod HD Pro [which is still a fantastic product!] however it wasn't working exactly how I wanted it to. At the same time I got a Peavey 6505+ 2nd hand and realised it was what I'd wanted all along for my tone. Being 2nd hand [and a 6505+] it had a few problems with the loop so using effects in there was a bit problematic for me and I had a crushing tone but no way to use my pedals or Pod HD Pro in the FX loop!

The day I finally bit the bullet, got my Kemper [which I'd been GASing for since I heard about it] and profiled my 6505+ my life was changed!

I'll hopefully be popping up here and there with various questions and what not.

    Peace out! :D
