If anyone is interested Musician's Friend has 15% off going on that can be used toward a DSR112 which brings the price to $764.99 shipped. These have a 5 year warranty!
Only drawback is they are not expected to ship until the 30th.

Sounds great!

Absolutely, and the request is not for myself.
My thought is that some others may benefit from it. The goal for many is to hear through the Kemper as the amp sounds, well if the listeners reference is not flat their experience will not be the same as the source.
This may all be useless...it is only a thought that occurred after reading your responses.
I am still curious if others use output presents? Is it to adjust the speakers response to match a reference source or to additionally sculpt the sound?
-
Understood.
For example, Ingolf mentioned using many setups. Since many people do not have a CLR I though it may be beneficial for others if he could post his output settings for his different setups so others without a CLR for reference can get closer to the reference.
Reasoning would be if someone has a DXR they would be able to load the output setting posted to get this speaker as close to the CLR as possible. That is assuming that the CLR is the absolute reference. If not then this doesn't make much sense.

I really appreciate all of the comments! I have been fighting with this decision for a long time and I am close to pulling the trigger!

Haha!
Yeah, I think the monitor system used can greatly effect the perception of the profiles. Would you guys care to share your output settings that come closest to the clr (with each alternate speaker setting you have saved) so those without a clr can get a reference point?
-
Happens to me quite regularly and is not OS dependent. Seems like a voltage sensing issue though I am not sure.

Hey guys,
I find I perceive many profiles differently base on which of my output setting I have loaded and I was curious how others set theirs. Do you have a setting for each speaker you use or a fixed global setting?
I have settings for each setup I play such as FR, speaker cab etc...I also have a flat setting for reference but I am not sure if this is the setting used when the profiles were created.

Agreed.
Note that the company would first need a trademark on the actual sound and I don't think any of the guitar amp companies have this.
They may try obtain one now but I doubt they would be successful.
Their brand name logo is a different story.

No, it was on the Kemper site. And asked questions directly related to the Kemper such as did you buy new or used, online or brick and mortar etc...was only 20 or so questions.

Thanks for posting these!

Thank you! I have been considering both of these for some time now. I've read very positive opinions of both and neither one is available locally...The extra headroom would be welcome.
Any thoughts on the mid range of the dsr? I have read some say it is a little scooped.

Note that the uploader can not vote on their own profile.
-
I received a Kemper survey one time. Filled it in and it has not come back.
-
Loaded this rig and think it is a great low gain sound!
-
Any one have experience with these two? Curious about the Dsr112 specifically. Thanks.

For me there is less clutter in the low frequencies. The low A is clearer (drop A tuning.) Definitely an improvement.

You would need to ask permission to use and in the case were you are making a profit you would most likely have to pay a royalty to the trademark owner, roughly 10% of total sales depending on the agreement. And the chances that they would even grant you the license to sell is slim based on their business model. Most companies require a large guarantee to get a license...many times in the range of $5,000 to $200,000 a year. I deal with this daily and the company I work for receives and pays a lot of royalties. It is big money and taken very seriously.

Strikingly hilarious! As I tell my wife, this borders on child abuse! HAhA!
