I upgraded with no issues on that end. I was able to get the Kemper to freeze up when I had chosen one of the morph rigs provided by Kemper and moved the pedal on my board without the pedal assigned to cc11. It had been set for cc07 volume. So not sure if this is going to cause future issues. I am using my Voodoo Labs Ground Control with Moog EP-3 expression. Once the foot controller patch was set to cc11 for morph, everything works fine. As long as I am on a patch on the foot controller that has been assigned to cc11 and then just change to morph patches via the Kemper knob to audition it's ok. But if it's set to something else on the expression pedal on the foot controller and I change rigs on the Kemper using the Kemper knob and happen to choose a morph patch and then move the expression pedal it will freeze the Kemper. Not sure if this will be bothersome but it is annoying, so maybe I will open a ticket. It might just be unique for my setup though.
The new strobe tuner seems ok, but I still prefer my T.C. Polytune 2.
Finding ways to to use this morph feature is the next step, experimentation ahead.
I use a voodoo labs ground control and GCX switcher. I can pull my effects out as I need to and change patches at the same time. I run overdrive pedals in front and reverbs, delays in loop and looper after the KPA outputs.
Does everything I need.
Ok, just had a chance to play 4.0 and do some morphing. But I decided to wait for the release of the peasant version with the rest of my Kemper ducklings. Yes, I am that kind of friend...
lol
I am not a fan of those tuners, but that is my preference.
for those that have them, you might consider this nut replacement . http://www.graphtech.com/produ…1f-4270-9c14-54363a50e627
Cool! Can't wait to hear Paul shred on a Kemper.
EH offers some interesting pedals. Nice to see the Kemper in the background.
I just got this guy. Ibanez AR300RE-CS , made in Japan.
I look for the amps that I think suit the style I want. I audition them looking for the best sound with no tweaking. I then compare them to my real tube amps and then tweak as needed. I also try them with various guitars to see how versatile the amp is. I mark these as my favorited and then only view favorites.
I use my Kemper like any tube amp I have and run my OD pedals in front. I was never happy with the OD's settings in the Kemper. With my pedals and a few good profiles, it's sonic heaven.
Recent acquisition! I am in the RTFM stage to try to figure stuff out on my own, before I bother the general population with questions. My wife (who works at home) is almost as thrilled as I am...!

Marzzz, what box is that with your rack unit? How much room is there in back?
The possibilities are fantastic, this is going to be a welcome feature.
New expression pedal on order...
I spent some time with a Helix and was not impressed at all. The amp models all sound the same and the overdrive is very brittle. I did like the effects but that was it. There were few too many amp models and overall it still seems no better than a POD HD500X. For the price they are asking, it just does not deliver.
If you are seeking effects, get a GForce, G-system or Strymon.
thanks Armin, was wondering about that.. tho gotta admit am kinda trying to avoid this thread.... already have one guitar waiting for me to check out:
http://intl.fender.com/en-CA/g…rboard-mystic-aztec-gold/
hard to get a good pic of this finish, also decent price for a standard strat, something tells me it is a bit of an under rated sleeper so
I am curious to check it out...
getting 2 at once seems a bit excessive, esp after xmas mayhem... also want to go somewhere warm and sunny in feb... so gotta be strong...
also beautiful tokai Guitartone that finish and flame is warm and sunny
This strat looks better in person, a very nice gold with flecks in it. A great AM Strat at a good price. Very hard to pass up IMO.
As others have said. Also add a compressor to the profile, so you can control the peaks.
This is some interesting update... I already have plans on having my reverb pull back as my gain increases and visa versa.
The thing I like most, is the simplicity with getting the morphing setup. This is why I choose Kemper over the other guy. Intuitive and simple to use.

checked out that guitar you have online, it is pretty sweet.
have a question tho, your pic doesn't show a strap button
i looked at the 6 and 7 string versions of this, they also have many colors, this is prolly the nicest,
and all of them had a strap button. Is yours on the back, or not installed?
and some seriously fine guitars showing up in this thread
Drog, i'm not usually too fussy about checking on guitars, vintage or otherwise, it kinda has to suit it... but that hanna burst really goes way beyond that, somehow all comes together, wraptail looks good too. i wonder if you tried taking the pickguard off? the flame above and below is really nice, i would be curious to see whats under it
p.s. Armin, you are a very, very bad man for starting a thread like this, esp day b4 namm, rampant kpa speculation, and calling "show your latest guitar" ... you can only know it will certainly lead to more "latest guitars" for a lot of ppl
Yes I have taken it off since that picture. Here she is now.

My main outs are set for -15db, that seems to work fine for a signal. Then use your output section EQ to get it sounding right, or at least decent (then the sound person can pretty much leave it flat).
If you are going to play that place quite a few times, you should use the output EQ and set it for that PA system and save it for easy recall.
You are always at the mercy of the bars, board, amp, speakers, sound person, that is "provided" for you. Most of the time it's sub par stuff. Lol
