I'm probably being thick.
I have a cable coming out of the direct output/send and going nowhere and a cable plugged in to the front input (no guitar needed you said?)
Is this correct? Ta.

Thanks Nicky I tried that but it said "No external amp connected or volume too low"
-
1 connect my guitar to the input of the kemper
2 connect the direct output/send back in to the return of the kemper. Is that it?
-
Can you explain the steps?
Thanks

What I want is to use the amp compressor not the stomp comp.
-
Is there an amp that has very little character (say a clean pre amp) that I can load so that I can use the amp features without changing the sound too much?

Thanks mate.

I've just returned the Rare Earth blend because it basically fell to bits after a couple of weeks of usage and I got a refund. I only used the mic part, not the pickup and I really liked the sound. I have decent mics to record with but would really like a solution that is fixed to the guitar so I'm looking at some type of clip on maybe.
The DPA sounds great but is around the £500 mark and I'm looking for something between £200 and £300. BTW, one of the plusses of the rare earth was the fact that the mic was internal and there didnt appear to be any room issues, so an internal mic would also do the job.
Any recommendations? Cheers.

I just made one with a Dunlop thin plectrum covered with one layer of a J Cloth, it worked great on my Martin Acoustic for a bright but not too percussive sound.
The problem is after a few run throughs I had to re cover the thing.
I've searched Google but cant find any online, anybody know where they can be bought?
PS the felt covered ones for bass players are much too thick.

I've done that mate and it works, thanks, strange behaviour from the RM though.
I've loaded the rig in the Kemper and selected only the cab, is that correct? Because the tone is not the same as the one I checked in Cubase with Recabinet 5, which sounds exactly like the IR I made.Thanks.
-
I followed all that and then also tried to import using the Rig Manager and I got the attached error
Any ideas please? -
Thanks mate, that's a big help.
I watched a bloke making his own IR's here which was quite useful:

So I've made the IR I wanted, now to try the Kemper bit.

Thanks lespauled,
Is there an idiot (me) guide to doing this please? -
I have ozone matched an eq from an acoustic guitar I played years ago to a present day acoustic guitar track.
It works fine but I was wondering could I export the matched wave out and create an IR that I could then use within the Kemper?
Then I could record the track with the actual eq as I track.
Thanks chaps,

Cheers Paul, works great,

I have a Roland ev5 pedal plugged into pedal 1 and it works fine for wah and volume but if I try and use it for pitch shifting it reverts back to a volume pedal.
I'm probably overlooking something obvious but what?
Cheers. -
Paul, I used the bridge pick up, is that what you meant?
-
Thanks Chaps, I used the LE BASS A1, rolled a bit of bass off, stuck a bit of compression on and it worked a treat.
-
Thanks mate.
I'd love a rosewood Precision but I have a Jaguar. I'll look at the profiles, cheers.
