I am running the Kemper directly to my monitor at home and tried running directly once to a p.a. using xlr to the board.
I have been tirelessly trying profiles of many different amps from rig manager. Most of them have high ratings. I've searched for highly recommended profiles as well from the forum, tried them and get the same thin result.
I definitely know it's on my end and not the Kemper, just need to find the magic solution.
Joptunes, I only own the pack and earbuds for the IEM's. Another member in the band owns all the sound equipment. Should I use my earbuds directly into the Kemper? If so, how do I set that up?
How do I find if I'm using Main or Monitor out?
I would like to add that if I get a FRFR cab, it will be for home use and not stage. I run direct to p.a. and use in ear monitors live.

Ingolf, I have heard many great things about the Kemper and definitely know it is on my end that it's not sounding good to me. Unfortunately, I don't have the knowledge to know all the little things to tweak. That's why I am relying on the experience and advice of others.
I am going to try to sell my monitor and get one that is better suited for my needs. Can someone suggest a decent FRFR cab that I can use at home that won't send me to the poor house?
apr13st, what cab do you like to use? I tried that, but in my opinion, the stock cabs don't sound good. I downloaded the free Till cab lab, but still have to learn how to import them into my cab section.
Is there a different monitor you would recommend other than the Focal? I have yet to play live with it (which I'm pretty frustrated about), but I did get a chance to play it through the p.a. we use. It still sounded thin and brittle (for lack of a better term). As always I appreciate everyone's help. Being a plug and play player, I will be asking many questions on here. Hopefully I don't become a pest to anyone. ha ha
I would like to note, that I do not play metal. I'm in a cover band that plays a wide variety of music (disco, pop, 80's rock and country). I am looking for a clean (disco etc..) light crunch/gain, a higher gain that is clear, but is more for rock and not metal and a creamy lead tone. Even the clean tones I found are thin. Under the advice of Sweetwater, at home I am playing through a Focal Alpha 65 reference monitor I did see another thread on this, but that person was recording. I do not have the ability to record and give samples. I know it's me and just don't know what I need to tweak.
I'm still trying to find my holy grail of tone. There are many profiles that have great potential, but sound brittle and thin. Is there a way to ""thicken" the tone on a profile? I'm not good at tweaking. I've always been a plug and play player.

When I import onto the Kemper, is there a way to pick and choose what I want on there or do I have to import everything in the shared folder? Also, I have Till's free cab pack. Will those import with my other rigs or can they be added with the other cabs?

I have been saving many rigs and Till's free cabs on a flashdrive. Once I insert the flashdrive into the rack, how do I save them?
Also, is there a way to save Till's cabs under the cabinet menu?

I am going to get the EP-1 to use for wah and volume. Am I able to use it as a wah on one rig, but a volume control on another? I'm hoping to not have to buy 2 of them.
In case anyone has this same issue, mine has been solved. It turns out that the springs on my floating trem are causing the noise. It was recommended to cover the springs with cloth or rubber tubing to remedy the problem.
I have rig manager. Do the profiles posted under the free profile section automatically go to rig exchange?

I don't have soundclips. I'd like to be able to keep the gain high if possible. It does ring out even if I turn the gain down a bit.
After I play a power chord, there is a hollow hum that rings when the strings are muted. I'm sorry for the lousy description. If anyone can understand this, what could I tweak to make it go away?
