Sorry to read about this one. The first thing I thought of was velcro, and not for the KPA!

Burkhard, after re-reading the thread it looks like I was not the "only" one with Rig Manager issues trying to install this new update. I don't usually have a problem but did this time (tried it more than once thru RM) and since it was tied to the beta I can only assume (on a Mac) this was the culprit for some of us? Anyway it is manually installed now so no worries for the moment.

FYI- Thanks for this info guys- I know its an old post but this should be a sticky!

Rig Manager saw the update on my iMac but said it had errors (twice) after downloading it and trying to install. Im now trying to install it manually by transferring the .bin file to my usb-stick. So far it seems to be installing ok this way- It booted ok. FYI.

I just Bought in. I hope your Mom does well as can be expected and God Bless!

Thanks- I'll take a look at the videos just because I like to form my own opinions, but Im quite happy with my KPA and Helix atm.

And it might not be ready then either, and just more details is all we get

The editor and a powered cab is my wish list for the Holidays, but just one of those is ok too, for now

Remember also that what ever the temp is outside the box, it tends to be hotter inside, as all electronics generate their own heat too along with a Hot afternoon.

Press and hold the phaser button (on the KPA) while pressing one of the fx buttons on the remote to store it's off & on there, then turn it off via the remote and save the profile. Now when you boot back up it should be in the same configuration it was when last saved.

Did this thread fall silent - no news at all?
8 pages in results in the same thing as beating a dead horse information wise. I'm sure once summer gets closer we will hear more.

I am one who does not prefer having to plug the Kemper into the computer to edit profiles or rigs. Unless there are features that the Kemper can only do on an editor, i would not use the editor at all to simplify functions, the Kemper is insanely easy to use for me.
Ok and thats your choice of course, but what if your DAW/computer is on one side of the room, and the KPA is on the other? How easy is it going to be for you to lay down tracks while adjusting on the KPA then? THAT, is why I want and need an editor. Not all will need that setup, but many will. AND another useful tool is always good to have even if you don't use it much.

And let the ears and not the knob numbers dial it in- one of the harder lessons for me to learn.

Thanks for the heads-up!

That would be '70sBro'.
Yep, off the "Rio Grande Mud" album, 1972. Damn has it been that long?

I'm sure that ol Dave has his reasons, opinions and that all fine and good, and I do like the sound of his product. I also like the sound of my Kemper, and it's the main reason I own one. I really don't give a flip if that upsets other amp or guitar makers and it doesn't bother me if they consider this cheating, not real, or otherwise a lesser ear full unless they care to fork over for my next purchase. Then I might listen a bit harder to their reasons as to why I don't really want or need xyz. That said, No offense to any one in particular and All the best to the amp makers
