    Mission completed !

I finally got mine a few days ago. I use the amp in bridged mode with a marshall 4x12 V30 and it sounds very good - even on very low volumes in my privat room. I can compare this sound to a FRFR aktive box (Dynacord AXM 12A), which I often use on small to medium stages for my own guitar monitoring. The sound or better the differences are depending on the amp+box rig you are using. If you use a rig with a 4x12 box in simulation over a FRFR it sound similiar with the palmer but with a bunch of more power (bass and pressure) - that was predictable. If you have a rig with a smaller box, the palmer does his job and the result depends on your connected speaker. That means, a 4x12 will never can simulate a 1x12 or a FRFR-sound if this is the target of your rig. Also predictable.
During the rehearsals the Palmer also did a great job. Good power with all advantages and disadvantages of the 4x12. All in all, like a standard rig with some advantages in terms of effects and variety. I tried the Kemper with the FX return of my ENGL SE too, but the Palmer sounds much much better.
So my conclusion: If you want to hold on a standard guitar equipment - choose the palmer with a guitar box, and carry the weight ;) . If you wanna try something new - take a FRFR and you´ll hear something new - especially clean sounds are very good. Or you have the opportunity not to make a final decision, like me, and do both 8) Whenever and wherever you want !

    Hi,

last weekend I played the Dynacord AXM 12A for monitoring purpose and via main out direct into FOH. I play hard rock to metal and after 4 decades as a musician I have now the best guitar sound ever. And I played a lot of heavy weight tube amps (Marshalls, Engls and 4x12 walls etc.) over the years. The Dynacord sounds really sweet and is the better choice compared to an Engl tube Amp and 4x12 I used before. The profiles including the cab sim sounds really authentic and is the best thing you could do for you and your Kemper. Okay, the pressure of a 4x12 isn´t physically possible, but you will have a wide range of a first class sound on half of the stage and everything else for the audience is done by the PA - no matter what amp you use.
All in all, the AXM 12A is very flexible (3 inputs inkl. mixer), light weight (!) and superb in terms of manufacturing, BUT ... quite expensive, compared to some other FRFRs. So I´m still struggling with myself to invest in this monitor (owned by the PA company) or to search something cheaper. On the other side, christmas is coming and my wife is still looking for a gift

yeah, that's exactly the question arising to me... i should check my serial number <img src="http://www.kemper-amps.com/forum/wcf/images/smilies/wink.png" alt=";)" /> maybe i'll be rich some day... i'll see how much time i can gain to shoot a little video or at least some photos and write down some of my experience...
    just to offer my…

Can you tell me what kind of speaker you are using with the palmer - FRFR or a standard guitar cabinet ? Have you ever tried both in comparison ? Thanx in advance for your respond ! ;)

    Hi

I´m still waiting and interested in the palmer macht amp for my kemper. A short (or long) review about your experiences would be great for my further decisions. :)

PS: After a short contact with the Palmer guys a few days ago, they told my that the release (in germany ?) will be at Nov. 30th. Thomann is still giving a date "next week", followed by countless delays... I´m still wondering how you managed it to get a device ?!
