I don’t have different settings for guitars. But I find the SG and the Kemper seem to get along especially well.

I don’t think so. That’s why I ordered a xitone 212 wired for mono.

I made two purchases in 2017: Gretsch Broadkaster and Taylor 814ce DLX. Both represent a desire to expand my musical quiver. The Taylor is a real game changer as it’s my first acoustic in over 35 years. I joined an acoustic weekly Jam group.

I have a xitone 212 wired for mono. I’m very satisfied with it. I’m using a powered Kemper.

I liked very much. Great playing. I prefer the Strat for this classic tone.

I connect my Powered Toaster into a passive Xitone 212 in the same manner. I have no volume issues beyond being too loud.

I downloaded Friedman Smallbox and PRS HXDA from RE. No one seemed to mind their names.

Sort of thread drift newbie question. Do you remove all the preloaded profiles from the Kemper and just load the Kemper with the profiles you use?

Nice write up. I was one who desperately wanted the KM-212P to be the final piece to my sonic puzzle. I just couldn't pull the trigger without some real world user feedback. In the mean time I picked up a Xitone 212P. I'm quite happy with it, but saving a few bucks would have been nice.

I JUST made the switch to an FR212 from a Celestian Vintage 30 (Cab sim off of course) packed Guitar Cab last week and it was a remarkable change. The clarity and Cut is so much more defined now while still pushing plenty of air so I can feel it behind me. My fist band rehearsal is tomorrow. Can't wait to hear it within a band context!
Great to hear. I'm about 3 weeks out on a Xitone FR212 to replace a Marshall 412 with Jimi Greenbacks.

All is good.

I'm using a MacBook Pro. All of a sudden Rig Manager will not open. Suggestions. Thanks.

tubelube, I read that about the above non-FRFR KM-212 which is a traditional cab optimized for the Kemper according to ME.

I'm currently playing my Powerhead through a Marshall 412 with very satisfactory results. I accept that an FRFR is more versatile and better suited to the Kemper. I'm 95% confident that I'll be ordering a Passive Xitone 212 wired for the Kemper mono output. One of the downsides to the 412 is that it requires volume to sound good. I'm wondering if the 212 Xitone will also require a fairly high volume to deliver the goods.

Sunshine, I know this because I'm in a similar situation. I contacted ME who provided the answer. I also spoke (email) with Mick at Xitone. His 212 is set up the same way. BUT Mick will wire the speakers in series for a total 16 ohms and thus allow for the utilization of both speakers with the mono Powerhead.

If you go Gemini Passive 212 with a Powerhead Kemper, you will only be utilizing one speaker unless you use an additional power source for stereo.

The aforementioned PRS and a 2013 R9 VOS. Two amazing guitars. Per the OP, I do have a Strat for Strat tones.

I have a PRS McCarty 594. Obviously plays like a PRS; gets close to a Paul on the bridge, but nothing like a Strat on the neck. The neck tones are wonderful, but not a Strat tone IMO.
