Wow I just found this thread and it's my exact same experience. I just put two Kemper Kones in my Victory 2X12 and it's so disappointing just thin and tinny. I've done cab on cab off and all the different speaker choices as well as the bass booster. But it's not even close to a good tone. Has anyone ever figured out the solution to this? I feel like I'm one button push away from great tone. But as it is it's no good.
Sounds great through a regular guitar cab though with regular speakers.
I have that exact same cab but mine is black. It’s an excellent system. But I just went back to a regular guitar cab and I’m kind of liking that even better for what I do. The Gemini 2 is a very expensive Bluetooth speaker for my iTunes for right now.
I recently bought the same set up and was initially disappointed. But very happy now.
On the back of the Gemini I turned the cab sim knob completely off.
On the Kemper head hold in the input button. It showed around -60 for input. I rolled it to around -20. Just listen as you do it. Instant huge improvement.
It sounds fantastic now.
