it works really well.

funny thing. recording the Bass with DI (Avalon u5) and sending it back

through the kemper via spdif into the Darkglass preamp sounds better

than the bass straight into the Preamp.

my Kemper is hooked up to my DAW / IF via Spdif.

i Want to re-amp a Bass DI through my

Darkglass X7 Pre-amp Pedal.

Can i hook that pedal into the FX Loop of the kemper,

insert is as an Hardware Effect and then Disable everything else

in the signal chain

(pedals, Amp and Cab section of the Kemper)

this should leave me with a proper re-amping instance right?

i mean like correct Impedance and such.

(otherwise i´d need to send it out of an

hardware output of my Interface into an Re-amping box so

i don´t Missmatch Impedance from Line Out to High-Z

"Guitar" Signal)

has anyone done sth like this?

i´m Recording DI with an external DI box + Kemper via spdif with an Hardware Overdrive infront of it.

I now choose to re-amp the dry DI-signal via SPDIF with slightly different settings.

How can i insert my Hardware Overdive tho?!

i think they can´t line up perfectly as every "amp" alters the Waves anyways - am i right?

i ran it through Auto Align Plugin but it still sounds like trash.

without constant latency the Tracks will be out off phase anyways because the

latency in ms is different with different rigs.

so Constant latency is as far as i know exactly for that situation.

but it does sound absolutely horrible.

i try to bounce some examples.

I've never heard of the constant latency switch. I've reamped and merged with analog and the Kemper USB without an issue. This is one heavy tone that had several mic'd cabs (3-5) to get one sound. I like it.

what do you mean by merge?

so you re-amped the same di into the Kemper

several times with the same Amp but different ir´s for each pass ?

and then blend it in the DAW?

i always hear about producer blending amps and different mics / cabs from one Source.

So i figured i´d give it a Shot.

i´ve Enabled Constant Latency on my KPA and Ran one Guitar DI multiple times

through some Kemper Rigs via SPDIF.

Kemper is Clock Source via SPDIF into my RME FF800.

They do sound absolutely horrible together.

i can´t tell if it is only Phasing or sth else.

i´ve tried clean and Heavy guitars as well as countless

Profiles together.

Did anyone face similar issues ?

tbh i don´t care if its 3-4ms or 6ms with SPDIF because its superior sound quality.

besides that you´d have to correct it later on in either ways.

which brings me to my question:

how can i manage to synchronize my Bass-guitar DI-track with the

later on re-amped kemper track?

(Cubase 5; ASIO FireFace 800; kemper with SPDIF and constant latency on;

latest Kemper Firmeware)

i don´t have any clue how i professionally should do that.

i did several Profiles and the kemper amp set the return level by itself

to keep the signal from overdrving i guess.

But actually its kinda wrong impedance wise

to feed a Line signal from a interface into the microphone

return input of the kemper.

maybe the kemper Staff can bring clear things up ?

This should be common knowledge ... because

most people are tracking several mics i guess.

hi guys,

first time i am doing a multiple mic setup to create a profil.

I mix the signal with my Fireface800 and send the summed

signal to a Mono bus and out to the Kempers Return input.

The Signal coming from my interface is Line Level.

Would you recomend an Re-amp Box (or DI box in reverse which works)

to make the Summed Mic Line Level signal a normal Microphone

impedance so the kemper thinks i am plugin the microphone straight

into the kemper?

i know i can adjust the return Line level to make it not clip but

to be 1000% accurate it is not the same impedance.

on the other hand... a microhpone is not that Hi-z than

an Guitar or sth. so i guess the restult is perfectly fine

without a impedance correction between Interfae Line-out

and Kemper Return in.
