USB stick? or USB cable to computer?
USB to computer had 0 results.
USB stick with update froze the Stage unit multiple times.
I’ve had this happen too. Anything in the USB port can cause freezes. Did you try it again after rebooting?
After rebooting and trying to turn the Stage on with the USB stick in, then rebooting and starting with the USB off, and again both ways two more times...it finally recognized the USB stick and began to install the update. Everything is working just fine now.
[UPDATE] Wouldn't you know it I decided to try just one more time exactly the same way I had been doing it before and it worked just fine for whatever reason.

I am the farthest from a kemper power user as they come. Update instructions, however, seem simple enough. I've formatted a usb stick, placed the 'kaos.bin' file in the 'OS Update' folder, placed the stick back into the Kemper, powered it on and then...nothing. it freezes while loading. It also freezes if I try to update with the profiler already turned on.
This is after trying to connect directly to my PC Rig Manager with a usb cable. Am I doing something wrong? I just want this thing to work ?♂️
after plugging USB into the Stage, instead of updating OS it completely freezes.
