great idea for a thread - had mine a couple of years, still feel like a new user.
My only thoughts are install the updates once out of beta (or even try the beta versions).
Although updates aren't always necessary or relevant to you, some of the big changes such as the drive pedal updates needed a fairly recent update to build on, so some folks who didn't always keep up to date had to do a few updates to catch up.
I might have used the word "update" a few times here, just thought I'd update this post to point that out

I knew a guy with AF that couldn't play in time

The profiler is a hardware unit that will carry on working whether updated in future or not in the same way any amp or other piece of digital outboard will.
Think a few JD 800's are still going
Anyway, is it Kemper's or Apple's fault?

Having gone down the rabbit hole of loading tons of profiles and trying / tweaking them (which is still fun when you are in the mood ) I pretty much switch on, go to performance mode and load an MBritt performance. You can still be amp specific eg. Fender collection or else load something from another pack eg. the amazing Brown Bag collection. They are very usable straight out the box, and made even better as the time based effects, stomps and morph parameters are already thoughtfully set ( buy a cheap expression pedal if you haven't already just for the morph features).
Good for lazy asses like me

you experienced guys are awesome - the Kemper just keeps giving

Interesting, Chris was previously connected with line 6, maybe he's seen the light
Has a great unique style and amazing feel, and his Friday Fretwork vids are worth catching.

Cheers for this - book-marking this thread

So, not interested in getting in to the debate about jab, but someone is using a Kemper here

I want to begin to add my vocals to some demo mixes but this is a whole other job! Geez! It's hard enough to try and sing and now this?

Ah man, that was great

oh, I was confused at first, I thought you meant device that could profile Beth Hart or Rag and Boneman :0
The only device I once had in the studio was a TC helicon rack (? early model), but whether that could be midi controlled not sure. Might be worth a look at some newer models

So, the Blackjack is another great pack. Agree with all the other comments re this but also having a ball with those Rockman profiles - man they are tight, almost compressed sounding. Good fun!
-
Man, nice work, congrats.
Totally nailed those classic rock tones too.
Will look out for your band if we're ever allowed to go out again
-
Blackjack snagged - looking forward to giving them a spin

Boss rc10r - couldn't wait until next year though - just messing with it now.
(have a G&L tribute tele* - not sure about the P90 neck p/u, although only had filtertrons to compare it to, which I wasn't crazy about either). Nice neck once set up though.
* edit - I put Tele originally, meant Fallout.

Man...for many months I thought I had my Kemper/Profiles/Rigs sorted.
I bought the Blackjack Pack yesterday and it's back down the rabbit hole...(Thanks Mike!)
ha ha soon gonna be ditto

Thanks for the heads up re these, guys - bought a 50 quid clip on Peterson. Obviously great for electric, and shone on acoustic. But where it really paid for itself was on my banjo - there was always a bit of dissonance with some chord voicings, but with the dedicated sweetened tuning it has never sounded so good. Yee har'

Ha - thought you'd found a magic kemper setting. Sounds good with those mics though
