Hey Kemperites,
We're happy to announce the availability of profiles for two vintage Fender Tweeds: the 1959 5F8-A Twin Amp and the 1960 5F1 Champ.
Back in the day the 5F8-A Twin was Fender's amp for the big stages. Designed to give lots of clean headroom at high volumes, it still gives a moderate overdrive when cranked up. This example is an all-original specimen from a collector's treasure trove. 80W of power via 4 5881 power tubes into two original Jensen P12Q speakers.
It can't get any simpler than the 5F1 Champ -- 1 Volume knob. But hey -- it sounds great, and gives a gritty overdriven tone. It has a surprising amount of available gain and sounds fantastic mic'd up. This amp is an all-original example featuring 5W of class A amplification into an 8" speaker.
