Rig Manager problems connecting Windows 10

Rig manager is often disconnected from my KPA, 'driver error ' according to Windows 10. Restarting Windows is the only thing that works so far.

I have the latest Rig Manager and firmware.

I reinstalled driver + RM; also tried different USB ports and cables.

Is there something else I could do?

Please let me know

Before you reinstalled RM and driver, did you go to Control Panel and delete all existing versions? In the past, old versions were not automatically deleted, so you might have one hanging around.

I'm a Kemper user for not more than a week so I guess I don't have 'old' versions of RM?

LOL. Well, I'd still use Control Panel to remove all traces of the Kemper stuff, then reinstall from scratch. If that doesn't do it, then you should probably contact support.

To be more precise, when I restart the KPA, after having been normally connected to RM, there is no connection.

Still no solution.

Spoke several times with support, even changed the KPA for a different one.

Every time I shut down the KPA within a Windows session, the kemper driver will stay in memory and after restarting of the KPA in the same Windows session the code 38 driver conflict appears. Only restarting Windows will solve it.

Never had these problems, but what can one say, Windows...

I'm using Rig Manager under Windows and do these shutdowns all the time. Never had such an issue.

I also run using Windows 10 without problems, though not doubting that your problems are real. Windows is a complex beast, and there are so many programs involved, along with configuration. It can be utterly frustrating.

Somewhere RIG Manager doesn't shut down completely. I can shut it down in taskmanager / details.

Uninstall everything Kemper

try a utility called "usboblivion" and remove any Kemper related devices.

reboot your machine

try a clean install.

Is your kemper updated to the latest firmware? I had connectivity issues but that sorted me out

Did you also update the driver of the graphics card and other device drivers? This sounds like a driver conflict for me

I reinstalled Windows completely and it works fine now.
